Abstract: Provided are an image forming apparatus with a touchscreen and a method of editing input letters using the same. In the method, an inputted text is displayed on the touchscreen using keys of the soft keyboard. A letter to be edited is received from the displayed text. At least one of coordinates representing adjacent keys of the soft keyboard is determined based on a coordinate corresponding to a location of the received letter on the touchscreen. At least one of the magnified images of the adjacent keys corresponding to the determined coordinates and functions keys is displayed. The displayed text is edited using a letter corresponding to one key that is selected from the magnified image of the adjacent keys.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus capable of satisfying various demands of a user by enabling the user to determine a grade of consumables in a single image forming apparatus, and the method of employing the same. The printing method of an image forming apparatus which has a recognition device to print according to grades of consumables, comprises the steps of checking a grade of at least one consumable by the recognition device, searching a setup condition of the apparatus, through which the optimum printing can be obtained by combining the mounted consumables, setting up a printing condition which is preset by the combination of the consumables, and printing with the setup condition by a user's printing command.

Abstract: A method of operating an image printing device including generating output data to form an image by interpreting and processing received input data, holding while a pause option, is activated, and forming the image using the output data and printing the formed image when the pause option is deactivated. The output data is generated even while the pause option is activated. The pause operation further includes determining whether the print cancel option is activated, canceling the print operation and deleting the input data from a memory when it is determined that the printing cancel option is activated, and holding until the pausing option is deactivated when it is determined the print cancel option is deactivated.

Abstract: A color image printing apparatus and a control method thereof. The color image printing apparatus includes a storage unit for separately storing image data of plural colors in corresponding memory regions, the image data being divided according to corresponding colors applied to print data that are received from an external device, a plurality of developing devices containing toners of plural colors, being driven in accordance with the image data stored in the memory regions, and a control unit, with determining that there are color data existing in the mage data stored in the memory regions for the purpose of color image developing, driving a developing device of color toner that corresponds to the memory region containing the color data to feed the color toner. By driving a developing device that contains a color developer corresponding to the memory region where color data exist, printing speed improves.
