    Abstract: Provided is a geothermal heat system having reduced heat source residual heat of a geothermal heat pump. The geothermal heat system includes a ground heat exchanger unit, a geothermal heat pump, and a residual heat storage tank. A portion of heat source residual heat remaining in the geothermal heat pump is transferred on a geothermal heat exchange medium passing through the geothermal heat pump so as to be stored in the residual heat storage tank. As the internal temperature of the residual heat storage tank gradually becomes the same as the temperature of the underground, the thermal load of the underground is removed. At least a portion of the heat source residual heat produced during provision of cooling/heating to the location of use is processed, thereby improving the operating efficiency of the geothermal heat system having reduced heat source residual heat of a geothermal heat pump.

    Abstract: An air conditioner which includes a plurality of indoor units to cool air of a plurality of rooms. Included is a plurality of branch refrigerant lines that each include a backflow prevention part provided at an end of the branch refrigerant line and/or a pulsation dampening part provided at an end of the branch refrigerant line, adjacent to the main refrigerant line. The air conditioner acts to prevent a liquid part of the refrigerant from flowing in a reverse direction into idle indoor heat exchangers. Furthermore, because a pressure pulsation of the refrigerant is dampened by the pulsation dampening part before the refrigerant is supplied into the indoor heat exchangers, the air conditioner reduces vibration, and, thus, noise from the indoor heat exchangers which is caused by the pressure pulsation of the refrigerant.

The foot pedal can be operably connected to the door by a wire arrangement such that the force for opening the door is provided by the user's foot. Alternatively, the foot pedal or a button could be connected to a motor which is connected to the door for opening the door when the foot pedal (or button) is depressed.

    Abstract: A clothes washer includes a lid formed by a first member hinged to a housing of the clothes washer, and a second member hinged to the first member. The first and second members are folded together when the lid is opened, and are unfolded when the lid is closed. A motor-driven lid opening/closing mechanism is provided for opening and closing the lid. That mechanism includes a motor-driven rotary cam member mounted on the housing, and a following member fixed to the first member of the lid. During rotation in one direction, the cam member engages the following member to open the lid, and during rotation in the opposite direction, the cam member engages the following member to close the lid. When the lid is in the closed and open states, the cam member is disengaged from the following member to enable the lid to be manually opened and closed.
