  • Publication number: 20090058260
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an organic light-emitting device having a structure formed by the sequential deposition of a substrate, a first electrode, at least two organic layers and a second electrode, in which the organic layers include a light-emitting layer, and one of the organic layers, which is in contact with the second electrode, is a buffer layer comprising a compound represented by the following formula 1, as well as a fabrication method thereof: wherein R1 to R6 have the same meanings as defined in the specification. The buffer layer makes it possible to minimize or prevent damage to the organic layer, which can occur when forming the second electrode on the organic layer.

  • Publication number: 20070221912
Abstract: A stacked organic light emitting device that includes an anode connected to an external power source, a cathode connected to the external power source, at least two light emitting sections aligned between the anode and the cathode, including a light emitting layer, and an internal electrode aligned between the light emitting sections. The internal electrode is a single-layered internal electrode which is made from one selected from the group consisting of a metal, alloys of the metal, and metal oxides thereof, having a work function below 4.5 eV, each light emitting section includes an organic material layer containing an organic material having an electron affinity above 4 eV, and the organic material layer is formed between the light emitting layer of the light emitting section and the electrode facing the anode connected to the external power source in two electrodes which make contact with the light emitting section.

  • Publication number: 20070105252
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a device having a flexible substrate and a device having a flexible substrate manufactured using the method. According to the method of manufacturing a device having a flexible substrate of the invention, glass is used as a mother substrate, a polymer layer, which is used as a substrate, is formed on the mother substrate using a chemical vapor deposition method or a vacuum evaporation method, a device is formed, and finally, the substrate where the device is formed is separated from the mother substrate, such that a large-scale device having a flexible substrate can be manufactured. Further, as a substrate forming an organic light emitting device and a sealant are formed of the same material, the device is not bent due to stress generated from the device itself after the device is manufactured.

  • Publication number: 20050162071
Abstract: The present invention provides a light-transmitting electrode in which metal lines made of a metal with the same or superior electric conductivity to a material for the electrode are arranged linearly on the upper surface, lower surface or both surface of the electrode in the direction away from the connection part between the electrode and an electrode pad. Also, the present invention provides an electrode with a structure in which different electrically conductive compounds are alternately layered. The electrode of the present invention is excellent in transparency and electric conductivity. Also, the present invention provides organic light-emitting devices comprising the electrode.
