    Abstract: A fingerprint-based network authentication method and system thereof comprises a user end and an authentication end. The user end has a fingerprint capture device comprising a fingerprint capture unit, a fingerprint processing unit, and a transmission unit. The fingerprint capture unit captures a fingerprint image, which is received and packaged into a data packet by the fingerprint processing unit. The transmission unit transmits the data packet. The authentication end has an authentication device comprising a transmission unit, a fingerprint processing and control unit, a data storage unit, and an interface unit. The transmission unit receives the data packet. The fingerprint processing and control unit receives and compares the data packet. The data storage unit stores fingerprint data and related user data. The interface unit transforms a comparison result into a control signal and replies the authentication result so as to authenticate the user's identity and confirm the limits of authority.

    Abstract: An interactive wireless fingerprint recognition system utilizes fingerprint recognition to promote the convenience of use and the security of wireless controlling an external target at a remote site. A piezoelectric switch unit is utilized to trigger a wireless transmission device for capturing and characterizing the fingerprint image of the user. Next, the fingerprint image is packed into a data packet with a data packet format compatible with a Self-described Protocol with Variable Length (SPVL). The data packet is transmitted to a wireless reception device by the wireless transmission unit. After being decoded, the data are compared with the embedded fingerprint data of the user. Next, a control signal is sent out from an external target interface unit to make the back-end external target to execute the required functional operation, and the execution result is also sent back actively or passively to the wireless transmission device immediately or a periodically.

    Abstract: A method of capturing a fingerprint image comprises the steps of: (1) putting a finger in front of a camera; (2) determining whether a fingerprint is located within an image capture region of the camera; (3) if “No”, adjusting the position of the camera or finger and returning to the step 2; (4) if “Yes”, capturing a fingerprint image; (5) transforming the fingerprint image from a colored fingerprint image into a gray scale fingerprint image; (6) binarizing the gray scale fingerprint image; (7) thinning the gray scale fingerprint image; and (8) extracting a fingerprint template. By the use of aforesaid steps, the fingerprint image can be captured by the camera.

    Abstract: The invention provides an optical system and the method thereof for the image capture. The optical system of the invention comprises a special optical component, an aperture, second lens, a uniform light source and a detector. The special optical component further consists of a first lens and a triangular prism as a whole. The second lens is for further modifying and converging image generated through the special optical component while the detector such as a CMOS sensor is to receive the final image. Furthermore, an aperture is put between the special optical component and the second lens in order to reduce the aberration of the image generated through the special optical component. In addition, the present invention also uses two pairs of LEDs, with a specified position and brightness, instead of a pair of LEDs to generate a uniform light Source.
