Abstract: This invention relates to a CPR and first aid training system and method that is designed to teach people the cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills related to first aid and CPR using self-directed educational strategies that include real-time feedback about the quality of the person's performance. The training system integrates software and hardware components as well as the use of either a manikin or non-human like surrogate for compression practice.
