Abstract: A computer-implemented analysis method is provided for determining range of a ballistic missile for inclusion into a retaliatory targeting system. The method includes receiving and initializing input variables of the missile; calculating constants from the missile; determining completion of boost interval calculations; determining burnout parameters: velocity, flight path angle, and ground range at completion of boost interval for multiple stages; calculating orbital range from the burnout constraints; determining reentry intervals from which to calculate velocity and reentry range; summing boost, orbital, and reentry range values upon interval completion; and summing boost, orbital, and reentry times upon interval completion.
