Abstract: Systems and methods for data discovery within documents in one or more data repositories in a computer network or cloud infrastructure for protection of sensitive data are provided. The method includes selecting a data discovery starting point within the documents in the one or more data repositories in the computer network or the cloud infrastructure and identifying a user associated with one or more documents at the data discovery starting point. The method further includes discovering data using activities and/or relationships of the user to discover subsequent documents to identify the sensitive data.
