Publication number: 20240068348Abstract: A system can display confidence values in a wellbore inversion model using a visual indicator. The system can receive downhole data relating to the wellbore from a downhole tool deployed in a wellbore of a geological formation during a wellbore operation. The system can additionally generate an inversion model of the geological formation by performing inversion processing on the downhole data. Furthermore, the system can determine confidence values for the downhole data in the inversion model. Additionally, the system can determine a depth of detection limit for the downhole data based on the confidence values. The system can output the inversion model, the depth of detection limit, and a visual indicator based on the confidence values for display at a display device for use in adjusting the wellbore operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Jeremy James Combs, Nigel Clegg, Paul Blair Johnson, Vytautas Usaitis

Patent number: 11826061Abstract: An instrument for drilling a hole for a bone screw comprises a shaft having a primary drill fluted portion, a shank, and a middle portion there between. Part of an outer surface of the shaft's middle portion is non-curved. A sleeve surrounds the shaft. The sleeve has an inner surface that is complementary to the outer surface of the shaft's middle portion such that the sleeve slides with respect to the shaft. The sleeve's inner surface contacts the outer surface of the shaft's middle portion at the non-curved part such that the shaft can transmit torque to the sleeve. A countersink drill bit is provided at an end of the sleeve proximate the shaft's primary drill fluted portion. A locking mechanism selectively holds the sleeve in a fixed position with respect to the shaft, locating the countersink drill bit at a selected position with respect to the shaft's drilling end.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Aristotech Industries GmbHInventors: Douglas Pacaccio, Jeremy Blair, Emmanuel Anapliotis

Patent number: 10537369Abstract: Provided herein are bone anchor devices including embodiments using adaptive materials, including shape memory materials such as shape memory alloys. Embodiments using shape memory alloys may use super-elastic properties of shape memory alloys to provide forces and deflections that actuate bone anchoring element(s) within bones. Embodiments of bone anchoring elements may be created that actuate with respect to one or more pivot point(s), with the bone anchoring elements on an opposite side of the pivot point from the actuating member composed of, for example, shape memory material. The pivot point(s) of a bone anchor device may be positioned in a central portion of the bone anchor device. The central portion of the bone anchor device may span between two pieces of bone or two separate bones (e.g., two bones of a joint) into which bone anchoring elements may be embedded and fixed.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2017Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: MEDSHAPE, INC.Inventors: Jeremy Blair, Clay Williams
