  • Publication number: 20220289316
Abstract: Disclosed is a pin box assembly that includes an adjustment assembly configured to adjust a range of pivotal movement of a towed vehicle related to a towing vehicle. The pin box assembly includes a towed vehicle attachment member, an elongated arm, and a king pin with an adjustment assembly. The adjustment assembly may include a wedge and an adjustment member that is configured to translate or pivot the wedge relative to the king pin to modify a range of angular rotation between the elongated arm and the fifth wheel hitch.

  • Patent number: 10138415
Abstract: Systems and methods that use far-field diverting agents and proppant pulsing to enhance fracture geometries in far field areas of a subterranean formation are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise: introducing into a well bore penetrating a portion of a subterranean formation alternating stages of a proppant-carrying fracturing fluid comprising a plurality of proppant particulates, and a clean fracturing fluid comprising a lesser concentration of proppant particulates than the proppant-carrying fracturing fluid, wherein the alternating stages of the proppant-carrying fracturing fluid and the clean fracturing fluid are introduced into the well bore at or above a pressure sufficient to create or enhance one or more fractures in the subterranean formation; and introducing a diverting agent into the well bore during one or more of the alternating stages of proppant-carrying fracturing fluid and clean fracturing fluid.

  • Publication number: 20060287161
Abstract: An elliptical exercise machine comprising a base support structure having a front portion, a rear portion, and a pivot joint comprising a pivot mechanism configured to pivotally connect the front and rear portions, the pivot mechanism being configured to facilitate a breakaway of the base support and an upward rotation of the rear portion with respect to the front portion, thereby enabling the elliptical exercise machine to fold into a compact configuration; an upright support structure extending upward with respect to the base support structure; a drive assembly operably supported about the rear portion of the base support structure and comprising a drive component configured to rotate about a pivot axis; and a reciprocating foot support operable with the drive assembly and configured to travel about a closed path upon rotation of the drive component and operation of the elliptical exercise machine.

  • Publication number: 20060234838
Abstract: Disclosed is an exercise machine, and particularly a front or rear mount elliptical or elliptical-type machine, comprising: (a) a support structure; (b) a drive component pivotally coupled to the support structure and configured to rotate about a first pivot axis; (c) a reciprocating foot support configured to travel about a closed path having a stride length upon rotation of the drive component; (d) a coupling configuration configured to support the reciprocating foot support about the drive component at a position radially offset from the first pivot axis, the coupling configuration pivotally coupled to the drive component about a second pivot axis; and (e) an adjustment mechanism configured to enable the coupling configuration to pivot about the second pivot axis between at least two adjustment positions to vary the radial offset of the reciprocating foot support with respect to the first pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 7112168
Abstract: Balancing equipment that provides a selectively dynamic platform for an individual thereon. The weight and movement of the individual causes the platform to tilt in any direction, thereby attempting to throw off the balance of the individual, causing the individual to work on maintaining balance while on the dynamic platform. The dynamic nature of the platform can be adjusted to correspond to the balancing abilities of individuals. An adjustment mechanism increases or reduces the amount the platform is able to tilt, without requiring the raising or lowering of any component of the platform. An exercise mechanism can also be connected to the platform to further modify the dynamic nature of the platform.

  • Patent number: 6471622
Abstract: A treadmill having a motorized treadbase and a folding handrail fold is with respect to the treadbase such that the treadmill achieves a low profile when the handrail is in a folded position. The treadmill includes: (i) a treadbase, the treadbase comprising first and second rollers and an endless belt movably trained about the first and second rollers; (ii) a motor coupled to the treadbase, the motor also being movably coupled to the first roller such that the motor selectively turns the first roller, thereby causing the belt to move; and (iii) a handrail pivotally coupled to the treadbase, the handrail selectively folding with respect to the treadbase. In a preferred embodiment, the treadmill is less than about 8 inches in height when the handrail is in a folded position.
