  • Publication number: 20230323957
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for perimeter seated knife gate valve. Perimeter and transverse seals may be formed together as a single-piece or as two separate pieces. Wire-reinforced and with a rectangular cross section, the perimeter seal (portion) may fit into a corresponding groove in the single-piece body of the valve. Transverse seal (portion) may include two channels formed as side grooves or tubular channels to accept packing material, which energize the seal and are isolated from the fluid stream. In the two-piece version, a bottom groove of the transverse seal may be used to interlock both pieces. The shape and structure of the seal may allow single-piece valve body.

  • Patent number: 9032281
Abstract: A system comprises a combination of user examination decisions and semi-automated extraction tools, integrated into a web-based administration interface, to permit a user to quickly catalog a publically available financial website and extract financial rate data in a reproducible manner. The reproducibility of the extraction process allows for automated processes to re-extract the rate data as often as necessary to attain at least daily accuracy of recorded financial rates for a financial institution. The system allows for the tracking of over a quarter of a million financial rates, across varying website technologies and display formats, and the daily tracking of financial institution product data and especially financial products with frequently changing rates. A stable repository of rate data is also created to allow for data mining of financial trends to syndicated parties.

  • Publication number: 20080115608
Abstract: A re-settable mechanical disconnect includes a fixed flange and a retracting flange, each including a plurality of ramped teeth that mate together. The incline of the ramp of each tooth may allow power to be transmitted from the engine to the generator at required speeds and may aid disengagement of the retracting flange form the fixed flange. The mechanical disconnect may be activated in the case of a generator failure and may be re-set and reused once the cause for activation is cleared. An actuator assembly may provide an external force in axial direction that may initiate disengagement and re-engagement of the retracting flange and the fixed flange. The mechanical disconnect may be suitable for, but not limited to, applications in the aircraft and aerospace industries, for example, for disengaging a variable frequency generator from an engine in the case of generator failure thus preventing damage to the gearbox.

  • Publication number: 20020042716
Abstract: Commercial objects sought in the course of transactions within an information technology network are identified using a reference identifier which is unique within the network. The identifier may additionally be used to locate a provider of such a commercial object within the network. The identifier is stored in an e-services layer of computing capability which is distributed across the network, and which provides language independence as well as database functions to enable searching for providers of goods or services available via the network. The identifier migrates with the object, and information representative of the object (representative information), yet does not itself change upon object metamorphosis.
