  • Publication number: 20240229634
Abstract: A system and method for drilling are provided. Responsive to receipt of information, the system determines an estimated position of a drill bit in a borehole and whether the estimated position is within a defined margin of error on the planned path. If the estimated position is not within the defined margin of error, the system calculates a first plurality of convergence plans, each defining a path from the estimated position to the planned path or from a projected position of the drill bit. The system defines a second plurality of convergence plans defining a subset of the first plurality, each falling within a window of correction. The system selects a convergence plan from the second plurality that optimizes target parameters and produces control parameters associated with drilling the selected plan. The system drills at least a portion of the borehole based on the produced control parameters.

  • Publication number: 20240054292
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to methods and systems for animating (bringing to life) an Agent, which may be a virtual object, digital entity, and/or robot. A Router enables seamless interactions between a user and the Agent via multiple Skill Modules. Skill Modules may include conversation corpora and/or other applications. Embodiments described herein may improve Conversation Orchestration in Interactive Agents in the context of multi-modal human-computer interactions.

  • Publication number: 20160187046
Abstract: A cooler is divided into distinct, watertight compartments. A first, lower compartment is defined within a main housing section and receives items to be insulated from an ambient environment. The lower compartment is covered by a hinged lid that defines a second, upper compartment for receiving portable electronic devices and the like. A third compartment, disposed forward of the lower compartment, is defined between an exterior surface of the main housing section and a removable module. An audio system comprising an audio player, amplifier, and speakers are retained within the third compartment. In some embodiments, the removable module includes a power station configured to supply sufficient power to supply the audio system and operate and/or charge ancillary devices. In an embodiment, the audio system further includes a wireless interface and/or one or more input ports for receiving signals from such ancillary devices as an MP3 player or an electric guitar.

  • Publication number: 20070224681
Abstract: This invention provides a transcription unit which is isolated from the upstream nucleic acid sequence of the collapsing response mediator protein-1 (CRMP-1) gene, an invasion-suppressor gene. The transcription unit contains a nucleic acid regulatory sequence which demonstrates promoter and/or regulatory activities (such as providing a transcription factor binding site) to enhance the expression of the CRMP-1 and/or a reporter protein. The invention also provides a DNA construct containing this transcription unit which can be transfected into a host cell. Additionally, the invention provides methods to enhance the expression of CRMP-1 and/or the reporter protein. The over-expression of CRMP-1 in a cancer cell can inhibit the metastasis of the cancer cell.

  • Publication number: 20060211036
Abstract: The present invention provides methods using a gene expression profiling analysis (1) to determine whether a human sample is a tumor using a gene set containing nucleic acid sequences of SEQ ID NOS: 1-7, 8-17 or 1-17; (2) to identify whether a tumor tissue is an adenocarcinoma (using a gene set containing nucleic acid sequences of SEQ ID NOS: 15, and 18-21) or a squamous cell carcinoma (using a gene set containing nucleic acid sequences of SEQ ID NOS: 22-27); and (3) to predict the prognosis of survival and metastasis in humans with tumor (using a gene set containing nucleic acid sequences of SEQ ID NOS:19, and 28-42 or SEQ ID NOS: 19, 29, 31, 40, and 42), particularly for those humans who are at the early stage of lung cancer. The gene expression profiling is preferably performed by cDNA microarray-based techniques and/or Real-Time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-Time RT-PCR), and analyzed by statistical means.
