  • Publication number: 20230158518
Abstract: A sprinkler includes a connector, a body, at least one pin, and a deflector. The connector extends between an inlet end and an outlet end. The body includes a pin wall extending from the outlet end of the connector. The pin wall defines at least one pin receiver. The body wall extends from the pin wall. The pin wall and the body wall define a chamber. The at least one pin is fixed with the at least one pin receiver. The deflector is coupled with the at least one pin to move within the chamber along the at least one pin responsive to a trigger condition from an undeployed state to a deployed state.

  • Publication number: 20230108242
Abstract: A sprinkler system includes a sprinkler, a fitting, and a gasket. The sprinkler includes a body having an inlet end and an opening, at least one flange extending radially outward from the body and positioned between the inlet end and the opening, and a sprinkler engagement member positioned between the at least one flange and the inlet end. The fitting includes an inner wall defining a fitting engagement member that couples with the sprinkler engagement member, an inner wall edge extending radially outward from the inner wall, and an end wall extending from the inner wall edge to an outer edge. The gasket is received between the at least one flange, the end wall, and the inner wall edge to seal the sprinkler with the fitting.

  • Publication number: 20230054235
Abstract: A coupling assembly includes a sprinkler and a fitting. The sprinkler includes an inlet end defining a sprinkler interface on a protrusion. The fitting extends from a first end that receives the pipe to a second end that includes a fitting interface. The inlet end of the sprinkler couples with the second end and the fitting interface of the fitting couples with the sprinkler interface. The fitting interface and the sprinkler interface limit rotation of the sprinkler relative to the fitting and form a fluid seal between the fitting and the sprinkler.

  • Publication number: 20230001248
Abstract: A fire suppression system includes a pipe system in communication with a fluid supply, a connector, at least one adapter pipe, and a sprinkler. The pipe system includes a first pipe and a second pipe that define a fluid supply axis oriented at an angle relative to a floor below the first pipe and the second pipe. The connector includes a connector inlet engaged with the first pipe, a connector outlet engaged with the second pipe, and an adapter outlet in communication with the connector inlet and the connector outlet. The at least one adapter pipe is engaged with the adapter outlet of the connector. The sprinkler is coupled with the at least one adapter pipe such that a spray pattern of fluid outputted by the sprinkler is oriented to correspond with a target orientation of the spray pattern.

  • Publication number: 20120300576
Abstract: A planar labyrinth micromixer is disclosed that includes an inlet port, a plurality of curved channels, a plurality of abrupt turns, and an outlet port. The inlet port is for receiving a plurality of input fluids to be mixed. The plurality of curved channels induce transverse Dean vortices that rotate processing streams. The plurality of abrupt turns fold laminar flow of the processing streams, shift elliptical points corresponding to centers of Dean flow regions, and disrupt flow islands. The output port is for providing the processing streams as a mixture of the plurality of input fluids.
