  • Patent number: 11490537
Abstract: Controllers that control a building's state functions can be controlled by a master controller that the controllers choose themselves. The master controller communicates with the controllers and sensors to determine when a building state should change. When the building state should change, the master controller or another controller determines the device or devices that need to modify state values of the building, and send messages to the devices so that they can change building state. If the master controller has a fault, the working controllers can choose another master controller. When a sensor indicates that a building state needs to be changed the master controller determines which device should change state, then tells the controller that is attached to the device.

  • Patent number: 11477905
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described to create a controller wiring board. A user, using a user interface associated with a controller, can determine which devices will be attached to a controller. The features of the devices may be already known by the controller. The controller can change wiring terminal types depending on the requirements of the devices wired to the controllers. In some embodiments, a device is wired to a module associated with the controller. The controller can signal to the module to modify its wiring terminal to match the needs of the device to be wired to that location.

  • Patent number: 11466228
Abstract: An improved method of sealing a window into an aperture in a body uses a lubricant comprising polymer particles suspended in a volatile, low viscosity, low surface tension carrier fluid. The carrier fluid is applied to one or both of the sidewalls of the window and aperture, and the window is pressed into the aperture such that the carrier fluid evaporates, leaving the polymer particles to fill interstitial surface voids, while enabling the sidewall of the window to make intimate mechanical contact with the sidewall of the aperture. While having broader application, the present disclosure finds particular utility in optical characterization techniques based upon the Raman effect and fluorescence probes used in process monitoring and control.

  • Patent number: 11431662
Abstract: Techniques for message deduplication are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a client front-end component operative to receive an incoming message at a messaging system from a messaging client on a client device; extract a deduplication token from the incoming message; store the incoming message in a message queue where examining the deduplication token determines that the incoming message does not duplicate any existing message of the messaging system; and discard the incoming message where examining the deduplication token determines that the incoming message does duplicate an existing message; and a message deduplication component operative to examine the deduplication token to determine whether the incoming message duplicates any existing message of the messaging system. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20220267989
Abstract: A method of dredging which comprises suspending dredging apparatus 200 from a vehicle 360. The sediment agitating apparatus comprising a chassis 210, and mounted on the chassis are an extractor, sediment agitating apparatus and respective pumps 220, 230. The dredging apparatus 200 is disposed above, but not in contact with a waterbed 340 to be dredged of sediment 350. The sediment 350 is agitated then extracted with the extractor. The dredging apparatus 200 is moved around the water and the extracted sediment 400 is deposited underwater and above the dredging apparatus 200, so that the sediment 400 is transported and deposited away from an area being dredged by the natural movement of the water. Apparatus and use of the apparatus are also described.

  • Publication number: 20220215264
Abstract: Heterogenous neural networks are disclosed that have neurons that represent objects in the real world or linked functions. The neurons have input and output that represent the movement of variables between the functions; their locations in the neural net represents actual object location or function location in terms of the other functions. Multiple types of inputs can be set up such that during backpropagation, only a subset of the possible inputs are backpropagated to. The activation functions of the neurons represent the physical behavior of the objects in the real world.

  • Publication number: 20220066761
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described to attach a device to a controller, whereby the controller analyzes the device inputs, looks up information about the device in a database, and then determines which inputs on the device match the defined device inputs. It then may translate information received from the device into an intermediate language. It may also use the information received from the device, the location of the device, and information about the device to create a digital twin of the device.

  • Publication number: 20220066432
Abstract: A controller is described with an adjacent electronic display which allows users to input building plans, and to design where devices (e.g., equipment and sensors) are to go. The controller has access to databases of the devices including wiring diagrams and protocols, such that the controller can automatically create a wiring diagram that can be used to wire the building and the controller. The adjacent display can be moved to show controller wiring, while the display shows a wiring diagram which describes a diagram of the controller wiring including devices that are connected, and wiring information about the devices.

  • Publication number: 20220067227
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described to automate creation of point mapping diagrams between controllers and controlled resources. After receiving a defined space diagram (which may be input using a graphical interface of the controller, or by other means), resource locations and resource wiring requirements (which may be done automatically), a wiring diagram including point mapping between the resources and any necessary controllers is generated. If resources need to be moved, a new wiring diagram and/or point mapping can be regenerated.
