  • Patent number: 9509673
Abstract: Content stored on a server may be selected using a user device and enabled on a central device. The identity of the central device may be authenticated without transmitting user credentials corresponding to the user, user device, user account, etc. A central device identifier can be sent to the server via the user device. An encrypted version of the central device identifier may be returned to the user device and to the central device. The central device can send the encrypted and unencrypted version of the identifier to the server, and the server can transmit the desired content to the remote device based on a comparison of the encrypted and unencrypted identifier.

  • Publication number: 20050204143
Abstract: Method and systems configured for allowing a non-local remote user to access a computer system with a particular authorization level. Such access is facilitated by examining non-local directory services group memberships of the user and performing a mapping of the user's identity to a corresponding universal local user account that have the proper authorization level or levels. Such methods and systems allow any number of non-local remote users access to the computer system in such a way that the remote user assumes the identity of (i.e., is mapped to) a corresponding universal local user account of an appropriate privilege level. All non-local remote users that the computer system determines to be of the same privilege level will share the identity of the same universal local user account.

  • Publication number: 20050188190
Abstract: A computer system comprises a service processor, flash memory, and service processor main memory accessible by the service processor and coupled to the flash memory. The service processor is coupled to various data processing system components of the computer system. The flash memory includes protected memory space having protected system functionality components stored therein and unprotected memory space having a custom system functionality component stored therein. The protected system functionality components and the custom system functionality component are loadable into the service processor main memory from the flash memory. The custom system functionality component is stored in place of a corresponding default system functionality component that is designated as being customisable.
