  • Patent number: 10484487
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a server performing operations including receiving a list of media content items; the media content items have a priority order according to a number of communication devices of network subscribers in a region predicted to request the respective media content items and a predicted location of the communication devices. The operations also include monitoring network traffic to predict a period of decreased network load, and scheduling copying of the media content items from a content server to a caching proxy located in the region; the copying is scheduled to be performed during the predicted period of decreased network load and in accordance with the priority order. The operations further include receiving from the caching proxy a report including the media content items stored at the caching proxy and an amount of storage remaining at the caching proxy. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10477347
Abstract: Site location determination using crowd sourced propagation delay and location data is provided. A propagation delay component receives a set of propagation delay measurements for communications between a mobile device and an access point. A user equipment location component receives a location of the mobile device, and a combination component combines the set of propagation delay measurements and the location into a set of location data. An access point location component determines a set of intersecting locations between the set of location data and additional sets of location data, and determines a location of the access point based on the set of intersecting locations.

  • Publication number: 20190235926
Abstract: A sorter receives a list of elements to be sorted. An element of the list is supplied to a selected one of a plurality of processing units to be processed. The selected one of the processing units sends the element to one of a plurality of list element cells, which rank orders the elements among other elements in the same list element storage as well as storing the position of each element from the original list. Each of the plurality of list element cells processes and stores a different range of element values. The element being processed is stored in sorted order in the list element cell that has an element value range that encompasses the value of the element of the list.

  • Patent number: 10347234
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to implement selective suppression of audio emitted from an audio source are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein include obtaining, at a portable device, data transmitted at a first time by a transmitter associated with an audio source, the data including reference audio data corresponding to a first audio signal to be output by the audio source at a second time after the first time, the data further specifying a time delay corresponding to a difference between the second time and the first time. Disclosed example methods also include generating, based on the reference audio data and the time delay, a suppression audio signal to provide to an audio output driver in communication with a speaker of the portable device to suppress the first audio signal when the first audio signal is output by the audio source at the second time.

  • Patent number: 10321330
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture (e.g., physical storage media) to supplement network coverage with a fleet of autonomous drones are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein include configuring a first drone with information specifying a size and a target location associated with the coverage area. Disclosed example methods also include, when the first drone reaches the target location, monitoring for communication signals to determine whether a first coverage zone provided by the first drone and a second coverage zone provided by a second drone in a fleet of drones overlap. Disclosed example methods further include autonomously adjusting a position of the first drone to maintain overlapping of the first coverage zone provided by the first drone with the coverage area, but to reduce an amount of overlap of the first coverage zone with the second coverage zone.

  • Publication number: 20190075185
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing and/or interacting with a profile verification service. A processor executing a profile verification service can receive a request to verify a user profile associated with a user of a social networking application. The processor can identify a computing device associated with the user profile, obtain location data that relates to the user profile and the computing device, and identify an activity associated with the computing device based upon the location data. The processor can determine if the user profile is accurate based upon the activity identified. If a determination is made that the user profile is accurate, the processor can verify the user profile. If a determination is made that the user profile is not accurate, the processor can update the user profile.

  • Patent number: 10225816
Abstract: Downlink signal strength measurements from base stations (BSs) are reported by mobile devices to facilitate mobile device locating. A system receives the signal strength information and determines whether the mobile device is within a selected distance from any of the BSs in response to detecting that signal strength information for one of the BSs is greater than a predefined value. The system determines an area over which to search for the mobile device if the system fails to detect that the signal strength information for any of the BSs is greater than the predefined value. The area over which the search is performed is an intersection of all regions determined by the signal strengths of the BSs.

  • Patent number: 10219115
Abstract: More efficient mobile device location data can be obtained by estimating a most likely location point in a coverage pattern using a kernel density estimation technique. The kernel density estimation technique can provide a continuous estimate of the most frequented locations of a mobile device(s) within a coverage area. For each wireless sector, the collected location data can grouped to the closest geographic coordinate system, and an inference can be made based on the grouped data.

  • Patent number: 10200808
Abstract: Methods and devices for determining a number of mobile devices travelling from a first location to a second location are disclosed. A method includes determining a first subset of mobile location records associated with the first location, determining mobile device identifiers associated with the first subset, and modifying mobile location records in the first subset by replacing a mobile device identifier contained in each mobile location record with a new identifier of the first subset. The method may then determine a second subset of mobile location records associated with the second location, modify mobile location records in the second subset by replacing a mobile device identifier contained in each mobile location record with a new identifier of the first subset, and determine a number of mobile devices that travelled from the first location to the second location based upon the new identifier of the first subset.

  • Publication number: 20190028140
Abstract: Detection of a confusion caused by scrambling code reuse is provided herein. Timing measurements, as observed by a mobile device, and an identification of primary scrambling codes associated with the timing measurements are captured. The timing measurements are identified by the primary scrambling codes for the particular radio measured. The mobile device also reports its location information. Radios for which timing measurements have been received are paired. Based on the paired radios and a history of observed time difference reference values for radio pairs, comparisons are made between paired radios having at least one common radio. Radios, exhibiting a set of values that is near an expected range, are removed from the analysis. Radios, exhibiting two sets of values that are distinct, are isolated in order to identify the radio that is causing the scrambling code confusion.
