Publication number: 20240117529Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a process for producing polymer fibers, typically polyacrylonitrile-based fibers, the properties of which are controlled by certain parameters of the process, such as the amount of jet stretch, the amount of wet stretch, and the amount of hot stretch employed. The present disclosure also relates to a process for producing carbon fiber from such polymer fibers.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2022Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicant: Cytec Industries, Inc.Inventors: Jeremy Moskowitz, Amy Tucker, Matthew Jackson, Thomas Taylor, Suzanne Crawford, Janos Olah, John Desmond Cook

Publication number: 20240068707Abstract: An exhaust conduit for neutralizing condensate from high efficiency gas storage water heaters is provided. The exhaust conduit includes an inlet configured to be coupled to an exhaust outlet of the heater, an outlet configured to be coupled to an exhaust vent, and a condensate chamber having an interior in fluidic communication with the inlet and the outlet. The condensate chamber has a lower portion configured to receive a neutralizer and an upper portion having a service port configured to provide access to the lower portion of the condensate chamber. The condensate chamber further includes a fluid outlet for draining the neutralized condensate via a drain line. The exhaust conduit has one or more ridges disposed in the chamber that are arranged to define a channel for directing condensate from the inlet across the neutralizer toward the fluid outlet.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Jeremy Allan Peters, Martin John Fabian, Madhuresh Bhandari, Matthew A. Patent number: 11914759Abstract: Examples of augmented reality (AR) environment control advantageously employ multi-factor intention determination and include: performing a multi-factor intention determination for summoning a control object (e.g., a menu, a keyboard, or an input panel) using a set of indications in an AR environment, the set of indications comprising a plurality of indications (e.g., two or more of a palm-facing gesture, an eye gaze, a head gaze, and a finger position simultaneously); and based on at least the set of indications indicating a summoning request by a user, displaying the control object in a position proximate to the user in the AR environment (e.g., docked to a hand of the user). Some examples continue displaying the control object while at least one indication remains, and continue displaying the control object during a timer period if one of the indications is lost.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLC.Inventors: Andrew Jackson Klein, Cory Ryan Bramall, Kyle Mouritsen, Ethan Harris Arnowitz, Jeremy Bruce Kersey, Victor Jia, Justin Thomas Savino, Stephen Michael Lucas, Darren A. Patent number: 11278075Abstract: Headwear with airflow visor. The headwear includes a crown with a head receiving portion configured to be receivable on a head of a user. A sweatband extends along at least a portion of an inner edge of the head receiving portion of the crown. A brim or visor extends outwardly from a lower edge of the crown adjacent the sweatband. A plurality of vent channels through the brim permit and encourage passage of air from above the brim, through the brim, toward the sweatband and toward a forehead of the user.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2019Date of Patent: March 22, 2022Assignee: OUTDOOR CAP CO., INC.Inventors: Michele Wood, Alyssa Graves, Jeremy Jackson

Publication number: 20160316493Abstract: A PSAP management system includes a mobile device and a Short Message Service (SMS) enabled ESRP(s). The mobile device can include a PSAP administrator module that allows a PSAP administrator to initiate transmission of a text message to a Short Message Service (SMS) enabled ESRP(s). The text message can be comprised of management commands that allow the PSAP administrator to remotely manage, e.g., take a particular PSAP offline, place a particular PSAP online, redirect overflow to a particular PSAP, direct maintenance to a particular PSAP, direct disaster calls to a particular PSAP, etc., one or more PSAPs. The PSAPs can be managed due to such external factors as, e.g., communication problems with a particular PSAP, power outage at a particular PSAP, localized emergencies requiring greater bandwidth, etc.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2015Publication date: October 27, 2016Inventors: Matthew Davis, Jeremy Jackson

Patent number: 9295327Abstract: An improved drawer slide is provided. The drawer slide includes a plurality of retention tabs that allow the drawer slide to be repositionable among a plurality of positions in a furniture unit, generally without the use of tooling. The plurality of retention tabs includes upper and lower retention tabs. The upper retention tabs extend horizontally and upwardly. The lower retention tabs extend horizontally in vertical alignment with the upper retention tabs. The upper and lower retention tabs are shaped for insertion into respective upper and lower slots in a vertical panel. The end user can reposition the drawer slide into additional slots as desired, providing enhanced flexibility and customization over existing constructions.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2014Date of Patent: March 29, 2016Assignee: Haworth, Inc.Inventors: Cory Erickson, Charlie Schalk, Jeremy Jackson

Patent number: 9226321Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and computer-readable media for initiating an emergency mode are provided. Emergency modes may be initiated from mobile devices in an accessible manner while still avoiding accidental actuation as a common occurrence. Some devices are simplified to the level of only having a single button so it may be quite difficult to dial a number (as there is no dial pad). In particular, it may be quite difficult to dial 9-1-1 in an emergency situation. Further, if only a single action is required in order to initiate an emergency mode on any user device, accidental actuation may become quite common. To combat this, a sequence of actions may be used such that accidental actuation is avoided and emergency modes are still accessible on user devices without dial pad functionality. In particular, a simultaneous push/pull action may initiate an emergency mode.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2013Date of Patent: December 29, 2015Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Justin Eddings, Corinne June Fitch, Jeremy Jackson Haney, Kevin Lee Staples

Publication number: 20120027371Abstract: The video summarization system and method supports a moving sensor or multiple sensors by mapping imagery back to a common ortho-rectified geometry. The video summarization system includes at least one video sensor to acquire video data, of at least one area of interest (AOI), including video frames having a plurality of different perspectives. The video sensor may be a moving sensor or a plurality of sensors to acquire video data, of the at least one AOI, from respective different perspectives. A memory stores the video data, and a processor is configured to cooperate with the memory to register video frames from the AOI, ortho-rectify registered video frames based upon a common geometry, identify events within the ortho-rectified registered video frames, and generate a video summary of selected events shifted in time within a selected AOI based upon identified events within the ortho-rectified registered video frames.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2010Publication date: February 2, 2012Applicant: Harris CorporationInventors: Jay Hackett, Tariq Bakir, Jeremy Jackson, Richard Cannata, Ronald Alan Riley

Publication number: 20050280337Abstract: A file cabinet includes a foldable sheet metal housing wrapper or individual side panels which define a back wall and the left and right side walls of the cabinet. A reinforcement box or insert is permanently affixed within the back of the cabinet which reinforcement box is spaced forwardly of the back wall to define a strengthening column which rigidities the overall housing structure. Upper and lower cross rails are secured to the upper and lower corners of the side walls at the front of the cabinet to rigidify the front of the cabinet. The opposite ends of the cross rail have depending flanges which are fixedly secured to vertical tubular edge supports formed integrally in the side walls.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2005Publication date: December 22, 2005Inventors: Jeremy Jackson, Cory Erickson, Terry Butcher
