Publication number: 20190141262Abstract: A method for detecting light sources, including capturing an image including a sub-infrared light emitter, applying a filter to a pixel of the captured image to isolate a signal strength of a range of frequencies, and comparing the signal strength of the filtered pixel to an expected signal strength of a background spectra for the range of frequencies. As a result of a difference between the signal strength of the filtered pixel and the expected signal strength exceeding a predetermined threshold, the method includes identifying the pixel as corresponding to a light emitter. As a result of the difference between the signal strength of the filtered pixel and the expected signal strength not a predetermined threshold, the method includes identifying the pixel as not corresponding to a light emitter.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2018Publication date: May 9, 2019Applicant: ELBIT SYSTEMS OF AMERICA, LLCInventors: Marko LABUDOVIC, Jeremie JACKSON, Martin CIELINSKI, Michael M. Publication number: 20160316493Abstract: A PSAP management system includes a mobile device and a Short Message Service (SMS) enabled ESRP(s). The mobile device can include a PSAP administrator module that allows a PSAP administrator to initiate transmission of a text message to a Short Message Service (SMS) enabled ESRP(s). The text message can be comprised of management commands that allow the PSAP administrator to remotely manage, e.g., take a particular PSAP offline, place a particular PSAP online, redirect overflow to a particular PSAP, direct maintenance to a particular PSAP, direct disaster calls to a particular PSAP, etc., one or more PSAPs. The PSAPs can be managed due to such external factors as, e.g., communication problems with a particular PSAP, power outage at a particular PSAP, localized emergencies requiring greater bandwidth, etc.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2015Publication date: October 27, 2016Inventors: Matthew Davis, Jeremy Jackson

Patent number: 9295327Abstract: An improved drawer slide is provided. The drawer slide includes a plurality of retention tabs that allow the drawer slide to be repositionable among a plurality of positions in a furniture unit, generally without the use of tooling. The plurality of retention tabs includes upper and lower retention tabs. The upper retention tabs extend horizontally and upwardly. The lower retention tabs extend horizontally in vertical alignment with the upper retention tabs. The upper and lower retention tabs are shaped for insertion into respective upper and lower slots in a vertical panel. The end user can reposition the drawer slide into additional slots as desired, providing enhanced flexibility and customization over existing constructions.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2014Date of Patent: March 29, 2016Assignee: Haworth, Inc.Inventors: Cory Erickson, Charlie Schalk, Jeremy Jackson

Patent number: 9226321Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and computer-readable media for initiating an emergency mode are provided. Emergency modes may be initiated from mobile devices in an accessible manner while still avoiding accidental actuation as a common occurrence. Some devices are simplified to the level of only having a single button so it may be quite difficult to dial a number (as there is no dial pad). In particular, it may be quite difficult to dial 9-1-1 in an emergency situation. Further, if only a single action is required in order to initiate an emergency mode on any user device, accidental actuation may become quite common. To combat this, a sequence of actions may be used such that accidental actuation is avoided and emergency modes are still accessible on user devices without dial pad functionality. In particular, a simultaneous push/pull action may initiate an emergency mode.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2013Date of Patent: December 29, 2015Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Justin Eddings, Corinne June Fitch, Jeremy Jackson Haney, Kevin Lee Staples

Publication number: 20120027371Abstract: The video summarization system and method supports a moving sensor or multiple sensors by mapping imagery back to a common ortho-rectified geometry. The video summarization system includes at least one video sensor to acquire video data, of at least one area of interest (AOI), including video frames having a plurality of different perspectives. The video sensor may be a moving sensor or a plurality of sensors to acquire video data, of the at least one AOI, from respective different perspectives. A memory stores the video data, and a processor is configured to cooperate with the memory to register video frames from the AOI, ortho-rectify registered video frames based upon a common geometry, identify events within the ortho-rectified registered video frames, and generate a video summary of selected events shifted in time within a selected AOI based upon identified events within the ortho-rectified registered video frames.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2010Publication date: February 2, 2012Applicant: Harris CorporationInventors: Jay Hackett, Tariq Bakir, Jeremy Jackson, Richard Cannata, Ronald Alan Riley

Publication number: 20050280337Abstract: A file cabinet includes a foldable sheet metal housing wrapper or individual side panels which define a back wall and the left and right side walls of the cabinet. A reinforcement box or insert is permanently affixed within the back of the cabinet which reinforcement box is spaced forwardly of the back wall to define a strengthening column which rigidities the overall housing structure. Upper and lower cross rails are secured to the upper and lower corners of the side walls at the front of the cabinet to rigidify the front of the cabinet. The opposite ends of the cross rail have depending flanges which are fixedly secured to vertical tubular edge supports formed integrally in the side walls.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2005Publication date: December 22, 2005Inventors: Jeremy Jackson, Cory Erickson, Terry Butcher
