  • Patent number: 10525897
Abstract: A bike rack for, but not limited to, truck and vehicle beds using an over center locking mechanism actuated by a lever. The mechanism is combined with a clamping arm that, allows a bike to be secured by a single movement of the lever. The bike is secured without removing the bike's wheels. The same lever when reversed in a single movement, will quickly release the bike to be immediately removed. A slide assembly and tuning knob will allow for adjustment to fit different tire diameters. The bike rack can be attached to a vehicle using a crossbar or other means of attachment. To mount the bike, the bike's wheel is placed into the rack and the clamping arm is lowered against the tire and locked into position by the lever creating a pressure fit.

Abstract: A bike rack for, but not limited to, truck and vehicle beds using an over center locking mechanism actuated by a lever. The mechanism is combined with a clamping arm that, once it is set to fit a wheel diameter, allows a bike to be secured or released in about 1 second by a single movement of the lever. The bike is secured without removing the bike's wheels. The same lever when reversed in a single movement, will quickly release the bike to be immediately removed. A slide assembly and tuning knob will allow for adjustment to fit common tire diameters on the market. The design implements three points of contact which will accept the front or back wheel of a bike. The points of contact are: one fixed point wheel chock, one clamping arm, and one alignment roller. The alignment roller allows the tire to rotate into the rack and fully seat against each contact point. The bike is held securely by pressure created in the 3 points of contact against the tire.

  • Patent number: 8966723
Abstract: An adjustment and fixation system can be adopted, for example, for use with a protection vest for two-wheeled vehicle drivers. The system can include: at least a set of a teethed strap (1); a plug-in device (2) of the strap; the strap (1) being composed by several teeth (4) with a quadratic form; a step in quadratic form belonging to the plug-in device (2), that due to its indenture (3), works as a lever, enabling together with the teeth (4), the blocking and/or fixing of the strap movement, enabling the protector's correct fitting. During use, it is only necessary to press the extremity (10) of the device. The system can be configured to enable a more suitable adjustment and fixation for protection vests, so that the same can be adjusted while the driver is in movement.
