  • Patent number: 11978014
Abstract: Examples provide a tag manager component that identifies a plurality of stationary RFID tags located within a three-dimensional space outside an item display area based on an analysis of RFID tag data associated with the plurality of RFID tag readers. A zone detection component analyzes item data associated with a plurality of items corresponding to the plurality of stationary RFID tags and location data associated with the three-dimensional space using a set of per-item criteria. The set of per-item criteria includes a per-item minimum threshold number of items per unit of three-dimensional space and/or a minimum threshold stationary time-period. A verification component analyzes sensor data and/or transaction data to verify whether the three-dimensional space is a termination zone. If the three-dimensional space is a termination zone, an inventory manager component removes the plurality of items from perpetual inventory.

  • Patent number: 11921615
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for processing test financial transactions that includes accessing, via a remote-control server, transaction data corresponding to a test run. The transaction data is transmitted via the remote-control server and received at a mobile application API of an electronic device. The transaction data is passed to a payment application of the electronic device. A cryptogram corresponding to the transaction data is generated via the payment application and transmitted for submission to a payment network. A transaction response corresponding to the test run is received at the remote-control server.

  • Patent number: 9906665
Abstract: Scanning devices include an input tray shaped to hold scannable items before scanning, an output tray shaped to hold the scannable items after scanning, a series of opposing belts positioned to transport the scannable items from the input tray to the output tray, and a round roller contacting a drum belt of the opposing belts. The opposing belts are positioned to have each of the scannable items constantly be held between the opposing belts or between the round roller and the drum belt of the opposing belts while the opposing belts are transporting the scannable items from the input tray to the output tray. A scanner is positioned in a gap between two of the opposing belts, and the gap is in a process direction that the opposing belts are moving the scannable items.

  • Patent number: 8056390
Abstract: Partial Stroke Testing (PST) equipment and methodologies provide PST data for one or more valves by withholding or applying power to the one or more valves for periodic time periods that increase by an incremental amount until the one or more valves partially stroke or a maximum test period expires.

  • Patent number: 7170575
Abstract: Homeotropically oriented layers and films of liquid crystals especially on polymeric substrates. The layers and films, which also can be multi-layered films comprising a homeotropically aligned anisotropic film, are preparable by application of an orientation layer to the substrate. The orientation layer can be either an organic surfactant which is fixed in a matrix of a polymeric material or an inorganic thin layer such as aluminum or Al2O3.

  • Patent number: 7043178
Abstract: An apparatus and method for dampening annoying resonance noise in auger systems. The dampening effect is accomplished by an insert placed within an inner bore of an auger. The insert itself may be continuous or in segments and be comprised of material capable of absorbing vibrational energy. One embodiment of an insert is a tube that is purposefully cut longer than the auger itself in order to induce bending of the tube and contact with the sides of the auger bore.

  • Patent number: 5833138
Abstract: A cartridge (2) secured for angular movement on the handset head (10) has a valve-like cooperation with openings (12) in the head (10) for water flow via passageways (20, 21, 22) in the cartridge (2) to showering outlets (30, 31, 32) on appropriate rotational setting of the cartridge (2). Cleaning pins (7) rotatable with the cartridge (2) and co-axially movable relative to it are operated by a cam track (8, 81) to penetrate fine spray outlets (32) to clean them of scale. The cam co-action of the pin ring followers (71) with the track (8) causes the pins (7) to remain inoperative during the showering modes but the pins (7) are operated for penetration by further turning of the cartridge (2) i.e. independently of the showering modes. The followers (71) are spring urged against the track (8) such as by resilient blades (75) bearing against the taper periphery (27) of the cartridge (2). Clearance pin penetration of the outlets (32) permits water flow to wash away scale and minimize back pressure.
