  • Publication number: 20160297575
Abstract: A container for holding granular or powdered material. The container includes walls, a collar, a lid and a latch. The walls define an interior space and an upper portion, the upper portion defining a sealing flange and an opening to the interior space. The collar is attached to the upper portion. The lid is attached to the collar for positioning between an open position and a closed position, and adapted to cover the opening while in the closed position. The latch is attached to an outer surface of the lid. The latch may have an actuator rotatable in two directions relative to the lid and detachably engaged to a catch which protrudes from an outside surface of the collar.

  • Publication number: 20150290081
Abstract: A cap for use in enteral feeding from a container. The cap includes a base and an insert cutter. The base has a top surface, a bottom surface, and an outer ring. The top surface has a protruding port suitable for insertion of a spike connector. The protruding port defines a spike insertion chamber extending from a spike connector insert aperture to a spike connector outlet aperture. The outer ring is configured for attachment to a container having a mouth. The insert cutter has a first end portion attached to the bottom surface of the base and about an edge of the spike connector outlet aperture and a second end portion extending over at least a portion of the spike connector outlet aperture. The insert cutter is capable of flexing in an insertion direction of a spike connector inserted through the spike insertion chamber.

  • Patent number: 8857645
Abstract: A container (210) for holding granular or powdered material and formed by a top wall (212), a bottom wall (214), a front wall (216), a rear wall (218), a first side wall (220), and a second side wall (222). A rotatably removable lid (D) is interiorly mounted with a scoop (32) and is pivotally hinged to a collar (300) that includes a sealing gasket (330). The collar (300) mounts to the walls of the container (210). A sealing wall 240 of the lid (D) cooperates with the gasket 300 to prevent the contents from spilling. The container (210) incorporates powder control features, a container wall junction (50) preferred geometry and congruent scoop (32) enabling convenient access to the contents, a tolerance variation accommodating and strength improving, J-shaped collar (300) and interlocking indentations (290) and flex clips (310), and a pressure controlling portion (350) that prevents unwanted deformation due to pressure differentials.
