  • Publication number: 20130137533
Abstract: A head for a ball striking device, such as a golf club head, includes a face member having a face with a striking surface configured for striking a ball and a rear surface opposite the striking surface, a weight member connected to the face member behind the rear surface of the face member, and a resilient member positioned between the weight member and the face member. The resilient member is connected to the rear surface of the face member to connect the weight member to the face member. The resilient member is compressible to permit energy and/or momentum to be transferred between the weight member and the face member through the resilient member during impact, including an off-center impact on the striking surface. Momentum transferred from the weight member to the face member during an off-center impact may reduce energy loss and twisting of the face on impact.

  • Publication number: 20130130830
Abstract: Golf club and golf club head structures having a nano coating are presented. In some examples, the golf club heads may be formed of two or more parts. The two or more parts or portions may be formed of different materials or materials having different weights or densities to manipulate the center of gravity of the club head, overall weight of the club head, etc. The two or more parts of the golf club head may be covered with a nano coating to provide the appearance of a uniform, one-piece golf club head. In some examples, all or substantially all of the golf club head may be covered with the nano coating.

  • Publication number: 20110111879
Abstract: Golf club, golf club head and/or golf club grip structures include portions formed of a recycled regrind material. For instance, a golf club head, such as a putter head, may include a ball striking surface at least partially formed of regrind. In some examples, the golf club grip, such as a putter grip, may be at least partially formed of the recycled regrind material. For example, the grip may have an interior grip portion formed of regrind to provide a firm, sturdy grip structure, and it may include an exterior portion wrapped around the interior grip portion and formed of a softer material. In other examples, portions of the exterior surface of the grip may be formed of regrind while other portions may be formed of a different material that may, in some examples, be softer than the regrind.
