  • Patent number: 11823663
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed a system to detect activation phrases within input audio signals transmitted over a low-bandwidth network. The system can use a two-stage activation phrase detection process. First a sensing device, which can include a plurality of microphones for detecting an input audio signal, can detect an input audio signal that includes a candidate activation phrase. Second, the sensing device can transmit the recordings of the input audio signal to a client device for confirmation that the input audio signal includes the activation phrase.

  • Patent number: 11630852
Abstract: Techniques are described for automatic creation of optimal auditable entities (AEs) using a machine learning (ML)-based clustering model. The clustering model, when executed on one or more computing devices within an audit system of a company, is configured to automatically cluster the company's business processes into AEs based on similarity analyses of business process attributes. More specifically, in some examples, the clustering model ingests business processes and their corresponding attributes from a database, automatically clusters together business processes to achieve maximum intra-cluster similarity scores, and outputs the final clusters as model AEs. The resulting model AEs may be used as functional units for internal audits of the company's business processes. The resulting model AEs may improve audit efficiency due to the model AEs including only highly similar business processes.

  • Publication number: 20180129537
Abstract: An example system for managing memory usage includes memory and a processor configured to publish a soft memory target for each of a plurality of applications, wherein the soft memory target is to be statically predetermined based at least on a detected state of execution of each application and a size of the memory of the system. The processor is to also detect that an application exceeds the soft memory target. Additionally, the processor is to detect that a total memory usage of the system exceeds a threshold amount. The processor is to further terminate the application based at least in part on the detected soft memory target being exceeded and in response to detecting that the total memory usage of the system exceeds the threshold amount.

  • Publication number: 20150369366
Abstract: A metallic seal design that reduces manufacturing costs by minimizing production steps and also lowers the sealing force by incorporating a thin-wall, high height/width ratio annular column. The seal has two horizontal ribs which constrain the thin-wall column from unstable buckling to thereby reduce or eliminate the tendency of the sealing dams to become inclined to sealing flange surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20150296091
Abstract: A media stiffness sensor assembly for an imaging device. The assembly comprises a translation mechanism coupled to a contact member, a drive mechanism coupled to the translation mechanism and a position sensor for providing a signal indicative of the position of the contact member. The assembly is mounted within an imaging device so that the contact member is moved into bending contact with a cantilevered portion of a media sheet in the media path. The energy used to translate the contact member from a home position into the cantilevered portion of a media sheet in the media path to deflect the cantilevered portion is used to determine a weight of the media sheet.

  • Patent number: 9128438
Abstract: A method of determining a media weight using a media stiffness sensor in an imaging device. A media sheet is staged having a cantilevered portion which is deflected by a contact member translated into the cantilevered portion. Based on the energy used to move the contact member through a travel distance, a media weight can be determined. An operating parameter of the imaging device may be adjusted based on the media weight that was determined.

  • Patent number: 8104770
Abstract: A process chamber 10 comprising a container (12), a lid (14), and a sealed interface (16) therebetween. The container's interface surface (30) and/or the lid's interface surface (32) includes at least one groove (36) in which a seal (40) is situated. The seal (40) comprises an elastomeric element (50) and a metallic element (60). The elastomeric element (50) and the metallic element (60) can be arranged and adapted to seal the chamber's interface (16) sequentially during its conversion to a sealed condition. And/or the elastomeric element (50) and the metallic element (60) can be arranged and adapted to seal the chamber's interface in series once the lid (14) is in its sealed condition.

  • Patent number: 7938407
Abstract: A spring seal for sealing in high temperature applications includes a jacket and a spring member disposed within the jacket. The spring member is constructed to control a sealing load or spring rate of the spring seal relative to opposing flanges while the jacket is constructed to provide a sealing surface relative to the opposing flanges. The spring member is manufactured from a cast blade alloy, thereby allowing the spring member to maintain its spring back characteristics at relatively high temperatures of about 1300° F. and greater. Accordingly, the spring member minimizes the formation of a leak path between the spring seal and the opposing flanges. In one embodiment, the spring member is manufactured with a substantially U-shaped cross-section. With such a configuration, the spring seal provides substantially balanced, opposing forces on the jacket to minimize the formation of gaps between the spring seal and the flanges.
