  • Publication number: 20240192540
Abstract: A spatial light modulator (100) comprises a liquid crystal material (104), first and second electrodes (106, 108) disposed on opposing sides of the liquid crystal material (104), and a diffractive optical element (120) disposed between the electrodes (106, 108) and extending laterally across the modulator (100). The diffractive optical element (120) comprises an array of diffracting formations (122) formed from sub-wavelength structures. The array of diffracting formations (122) defines a phase profile adapted to modify the incident wavefront of light reflected off the second electrode and to apply a position-dependent wavefront correction to the incident wavefront of light.

  • Patent number: 11992086
Abstract: A strobel for an article of footwear includes a polymeric bladder defining an interior cavity and configured to retain a fluid in the interior cavity. The polymeric bladder has a peripheral flange extending around at least a portion of a perimeter of the interior cavity. A first bond secures opposing inner surfaces of the polymeric bladder to one another and extends transversely inward from a medial side of the peripheral flange only partway transversely across the interior cavity. A second bond is rearward of the first bond. The second bond extends transversely inward from a lateral side of the peripheral flange only partway transversely across the interior cavity. A tensile component is disposed in the interior cavity. An outer edge of the tensile component extends transversely inward at and borders a perimeter of the first bond and a perimeter of the second bond.

  • Patent number: 11957586
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for altering functioning of a tissue/organ by application of force thereto. In one preferred embodiment, a device for reducing or preventing regurgitation of blood through a valve of a heart is provided. A device may include a main body having a segment adapted to apply force to a surface of tissue/organ and a member that applies counterforce to the force applied by the segment. Kits are provided in which devices having varying lengths and widths can be selected for the best fit for a particular location of treatment. A width sizing instrument may be provided. A length sizing instrument may be provided. A separate sleeve and/or pad may be provided which may be first anchored to the tissue/organ before fixing the device thereto.

  • Publication number: 20240099982
Abstract: The present invention provides a cellulose derivative free capsule that may be organic and plant-based. The capsule includes organic pullulan, one or more herbal extracts in a powder form or as an aqueous alcoholic extract, and a mixture of plant-based oil and plant-based lecithin. The mixture of oil and lecithin may have a viscosity of 250 to 1000 cP at 25° C., and with the herbal extract may have a viscosity of 1000 to 2500 cP at 25° C.

  • Publication number: 20230133432
Abstract: A processor may query a database of media compositions with a query specifying at least one attribute from among a plurality of attributes of media compositions. In response to the querying, the processor may receive a returned plurality of the media compositions having the at least one attribute. The processor may arrange the returned plurality of the media compositions into a sequence according to at least one of the plurality of attributes. The processor may render the sequence into a metacomposition, which may be displayed by at least one display device.

  • Publication number: 20200390739
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for providing hemp extracts in a vegetable gelatin, HPMC, or any other cellulose derivative capsule. The process includes extracting a hemp plant material with an aqueous alcohol mixture to provide an aqueous alcoholic hemp extract. The aqueous alcoholic hemp extract is concentrated with an emulsifier (e.g., lecithin) and diluted with a glycerol (e.g., glycerin) while maintaining a carboxylation:decarboxylation ratio equal to or greater than about 2:1 for the plurality of cannabinoids present within the hemp extract. Alcohol and water is removed from the mixture to provide a semi-soft form hemp extract. The herb extract is then encapsulated in a vegetable gelatin, HPMC, or any other cellulose derivative capsule.
