  • Patent number: 11978014
Abstract: Examples provide a tag manager component that identifies a plurality of stationary RFID tags located within a three-dimensional space outside an item display area based on an analysis of RFID tag data associated with the plurality of RFID tag readers. A zone detection component analyzes item data associated with a plurality of items corresponding to the plurality of stationary RFID tags and location data associated with the three-dimensional space using a set of per-item criteria. The set of per-item criteria includes a per-item minimum threshold number of items per unit of three-dimensional space and/or a minimum threshold stationary time-period. A verification component analyzes sensor data and/or transaction data to verify whether the three-dimensional space is a termination zone. If the three-dimensional space is a termination zone, an inventory manager component removes the plurality of items from perpetual inventory.

  • Patent number: 10607184
Abstract: A method and a system for determining an amount of material remaining in a spool are provided herein. The system includes a radiofrequency identification (RFID) reader that is configured to read an RFID tag disposed at an end of a core of the spool. The RFID reader is provided on or in a vicinity of a support surface configured to hold at least a portion of the material. The system further includes a computer system in communication with the RFID reader, the computer system being configured to compute an amount of remaining material in the spool based on a thickness of the material and based on a number of revolutions of the spool. The number of revolutions is determined by a number of times the RFID tag on the spool comes in a reading vicinity of the RFID reader.

  • Publication number: 20200035101
Abstract: A parking space allocation system comprises a special-purpose allocation computer that communicates with at least one electronic sensor to identify a state of a plurality of parking spaces, including a determination whether the parking spaces are occupied or unoccupied and that automatically modifies an unoccupied parking space to be visually identifiable for authorized use by a vehicle or vehicle occupant; and a special-purpose authorization computer that authenticates the vehicle or vehicle occupant for the authorized use of the unoccupied parking space by the vehicle. The special-purpose allocation computer further allocates the unoccupied parking space to the authenticated vehicle or vehicle occupant according to a predetermined criterion that requires the unoccupied parking space to be in proximity to or a predetermined distance from a destination of interest by the vehicle occupant.

  • Patent number: 10311258
Abstract: An electronic shelf label system comprising a plurality of electronic shelf labels is provided. A central computing system transmits data transmissions to the plurality of electronic shelf labels at a first power level. A candidate electronic shelf label from the plurality of electronic shelf labels periodically activate from a sleep mode to identify whether there is an existing master electronic shelf label from the plurality of electronic shelf labels. The candidate electronic shelf label becomes a new master electronic shelf label based on a set of specified conditions to transmit programming instructions received from the central computing system to one or more electronic shelf labels.

  • Publication number: 20170286876
Abstract: Methodologies, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for generating routes for relocating objects. A computational device retrieves from a database object relocation data and relocation capacity data for each of a plurality of objects identified by an electronic scanning device at a first geographical location. The objects at the first geographical location are intended for relocation, and the object relocation data indicates possible geographical locations for receiving each of the objects. The relocation capacity data indicates an available capacity for each of the possible geographical locations. The computational device computes a relocation destination for each of those objects based on the relocation capacity data of each of the possible geographical locations.
