Patent number: 9076264Abstract: A system and method for displaying, playing and modifying song and percussion sequences. Users can easily view and modify such sequences using a User Interface (UI), including while the sequences are playing. A user may quickly “zoom in” on specific sounds and rhythms, and modify the sound and/or rhythm while it plays. Users can also “zoom out” to view and manipulate a song at a pattern level, or at a song level with multiple sections of different sounds and rhythms.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2009Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: iZotope, Inc.Inventors: Art Gillespie, Brendan Regan, Jeremy Todd

Patent number: 8886891Abstract: Accessing a shared buffer can include receiving an identifier associated with a buffer from a sending process, requesting one or more attributes corresponding to the buffer based on the received identifier, mapping at least a first page of the buffer in accordance with the one or more requested attributes, and accessing an item of data stored in the buffer by the sending process. The identifier also can comprise a unique identifier. Further, the identifier can be passed to one or more other processes. Additionally, the one or more requested attributes can include at least one of a pointer to a memory location and a property describing the buffer.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2008Date of Patent: November 11, 2014Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Kenneth Christian Dyke, Jeremy Todd Sandmel, Geoff Stahl, John Kenneth Stauffer

Publication number: 20140223893Abstract: A system includes a pilot pump with an output that may be directed to a pilot circuit by way of a selector valve. The selector valve is shifted between a first position providing communication between the pump and the pilot circuit to a second position providing communication between the pilot pump and the hybrid circuit when pressure in the pilot circuit reaches a predetermined level. That pressure is used to hydraulically shift the selector valve to redirect flow from the pilot pump to the hybrid circuit. Both the pilot circuit and the hybrid circuit include accumulators for storing pressurized hydraulic fluid. The fluid stored in the pilot circuit is used for pilot functionality while the fluid stored in the hybrid circuit is used to power any one or more of a variety of power consuming components.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 11, 2013Publication date: August 14, 2014Applicant: CATERPILLAR INC.Inventors: Jeremy Todd Peterson, Jeffrey L. Kuehn

Publication number: 20140139532Abstract: Among other things, dynamically selecting or configuring one or more hardware resources to render a particular display data includes obtaining a request for rendering display data. The request includes a specification describing a desired rendering process. Based on the specification and the display data, hardware is selected or configured. The display data is rendered using the selected or configured hardware.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2013Publication date: May 22, 2014Applicant: Apple Inc.Inventors: Jeremy Todd Sandmel, John Stuart Harper, Kenneth Christian Dyke

Publication number: 20140033693Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a hydraulic system having at least an implement pump, a fan-steering-braking (FSB) pump, a valve assembly, a fan drive system and one or more accumulators. The method may determine an operational state of a power source associated with the hydraulic system, actuate one or more valves of the valve assembly such that the FSB pump charges the accumulators and operates at least the fan drive system if the power source is operating at less than maximum power, and actuate one or more valves of the valve assembly such that the accumulators operate at least the fan drive system and such that the FSB pump supplements the implement pump as needed if the power source is operating at maximum power.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2012Publication date: February 6, 2014Applicant: CATERPILLAR, INC.Inventors: Bryan Edward Nelson, Jeremy Todd Peterson

Publication number: 20130201667Abstract: An aluminum or aluminum-alloy coupling that fastens with two sets of screws securely to couplings of fire department attack hose lines and aides firefighters to a means of egress. The AHM coupling will house two sets of red and green Light-emitting diodes powered by Lithium-ion battery cells, attached to a water proof and fire retardant circuit board, which illuminates in smoke filled environments and assists in decreasing firefighter disorientation. Firefighters will follow the green light-emitting diode side of the coupling out of the burning structure to safety, while the red light-emitting diode side will warn the firefighters that they are headed towards the source of fire.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2012Publication date: August 8, 2013Inventor: Jeremy Todd Ratner

Patent number: 8396363Abstract: A lock-in ratio measurement system including a plurality of channels. Each of the channels generates and transmits a radiation signal modulated by a sequence of tones. The sequence of tones for each channel being unique in time to that respective channel. Each respective modulated signal is absorbed/reflected from a target or medium and received. Each channel computes a lock-in value based on the received modulation signal. The lock-in values are used to compute ratios between the channels for characterizing a target or medium.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2009Date of Patent: March 12, 2013Assignee: Exelis, Inc.Inventors: Michael G. Braun, Jeremy Todd Dobler, Wayne Henry Erxleben, Douglas Paul McGregor

Patent number: 8143509Abstract: A pickup processing system for a guitar or other musical instrument. According to one embodiment, a split pickup is employed that separates the sound from the two bass strings from the other four strings. The signal from the bass strings may be provided to an octave divider, which creates a bass sound to add back into the sound. The octave divider produces sound without discontinuities or other artifacts. Other effects include restored acoustical properties of the guitar body, stereo imaging, reverb and others. The present invention may be fully contained within the body of an acoustic guitar.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2009Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: iZotope, Inc.Inventors: Jamie Robertson, Jeremy Todd, Alexey Lukin

Patent number: 7974838Abstract: A system and method to assist a singer or other user. An audio source is processed to extract the lead vocals from the audio signal. This vocal signal is fed to a pitch detection processor which estimates the pitch at each moment in time. A user singing into a microphone provides a user vocal signal that is also pitch detected. The pitch of the lead vocal signal and the user vocal signal are compared and any difference is provided to a pitch shifting module, which then can correct the pitch of the user vocal signal. The corrected user vocal signal may be combined with a background signal comprising a signal from the audio source without the lead vocal signal, and then provided to headphones or loudspeakers to the user and/or an audience. This system and method may be used for Karaoke performances.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2008Date of Patent: July 5, 2011Assignee: iZotope, Inc.Inventors: Alexey Lukin, Jeremy Todd, Mark Ethier
