  • Publication number: 20250042371
Abstract: A method for determining the moisture of a ground on which a tire mounted on a vehicle is running, the tire being fitted with a sensor configured to acquire a measurement signal representative of the change in the curvature of the tire as it runs over a ground, comprises the following steps: acquiring a measurement signal representative of the change in the curvature of the tire while it is running; determining measurement data comprising (a) a first parameter (KSin) representative of a rate at which the tire flattens on contact with the ground, and (b) a second parameter (KSout) representative of a rate at which the tire regains its shape on becoming separated from the ground; and determining the moisture of the ground as a function of the first parameter (KSin) and the second parameter (KSout).

  • Publication number: 20240198742
Abstract: The rolling parameters of a tire on a rolling surface are evaluated, and more specifically a tire's adhesion potential on a rolling surface is estimated. A method and a system enabling such estimation are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210354519
Abstract: A method for simulating the variation as a function of time in a physical system giving in real time the state of this system, the state of the system being defined by a set of variables that are periodically updated with a preset period (P), the method comprising updating the value of at least one of the variables (input variable), and estimating the value of at least one of the variables (estimated variable), via convergence of an iterative algorithm having as input datum the at least one input variable, in which method, if the algorithm has not converged at the end of the last iteration in a period called the current period, the current period having a duration shorter than or equal to the preset period (P), the iterative algorithm continues in the following period, taking up where it left off in the last iteration of the current period.

  • Publication number: 20210240879
Abstract: A method for simulating the physical behavior of a tire comprises, to calculate a resultant force transmitted by the tire between the ground and the vehicle at a given instant: modelling (Ea) of the contact area in the form of a square surface, discretization (Eb) by a subdivision in slices orthogonal to the direction of travel of the tire, determination (Ec) of the nature of the contact, gripping or sliding, as a function of the steering lock angle, calculation (Ed) of the elementary force exerted on the slice by application of predetermined equations, tire, and calculation (Ee) of the resultant force by integration of the elementary forces over the entire square surface.
