Abstract: Systems and methods are provided receiving, from a computing device associated with a first user of a content sharing platform, a request to access a second user profile associated with a second user in the content sharing platform, accessing activity data related to both the first user and the second user in the content sharing platform, determining common activity data to both the first user and the second user, wherein the common activity data comprises at least one media content item generated by the second user that was viewed or saved by the first user, or one or more datum saved by the first user from a communication received from the second user, and generating second user profile data comprising the common activity data related to both the first user and the second user in the content sharing platform as part of the second user profile.

Abstract: An avatar notification system is disclosed, which performs operations that include: causing display of a notification at a client device associated with a first user account, the notification including an identification of a second user account; receiving an input that selects the notification from the client device; presenting a composition interface at the client device in response to the input that selects the notification, the composition interface including a display of a media element that comprises a first identifier associated with the first user account and a second identifier associated with the second user account; receiving a selection of the media element from the client device, and generating a message that includes the media element in response to the selection.

Server system generates a group including first client device and client devices in the selection. Server system causes a group selectable item including a new item indication to be displayed by client devices included in the group. In response to receiving a first signal that indicates that a first portion of the group selectable item has been selected, server system causes the first media content item to be displayed by second client device. Once the first media content item is displayed for a period of time, server system removes the new item indication from the group selectable item and causes the group selectable item to be displayed by second client device. An example method includes displaying a plurality of stock videos to a user, where a video of the plurality of stock videos is generated based on a live video featuring an actor wearing a mask and facing a video camera and the mask is a marker for insertion of a self-image of the user, providing an interface for selecting a stock video from the plurality of stock videos, and, upon determining that the user has selected the stock video, forming a personalized video using the selected stock video and the self-image of the user.
