  • Patent number: 9932961
Abstract: A wind power generator having blades which are detachably mounted on a hub whereby the blades can be easily and efficiently removed and replaced as necessary.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4993485
Abstract: A heat exchanger comprising an outer envelope having an inlet and an outlet for passage of an associated first heat exchange fluid therethrough. A first tube is mounted within the envelope for external contact by the first heat exchange fluid, and adapted for passage of a second heat exchange fluid therethrough in physical isolation from the first exchange fluid. A generally helical blade is disposed within the first tube for free rotation and free axial movement. The blade has a laterally centered bearing portion on at least one end thereof which has a diameter relative to that of the first tube, such as to cause the helical blade to pass in closely spaced relation to the inside surface of the first during rotation. A bearing member is disposed adjacent at least one end of the helical blade which comprises a porous member disposed in substantially aligned relationship with the helical blade.

  • Patent number: 4904130
Abstract: A drill bit, circular saw blade, milling head or other cutting tool on which are disposed a repeating series of color coded marks spaced uniformly at small predetermined increments so that they can be seen and distinguished while the tool is in use and can therefore be used as depth gauges for cutting, shaping or drilling to a desired depth.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4641705
Abstract: A tube-and shell double-pipe or liquid-air fin type heat exchanger, which offers a high level of thermal energy transfer efficiency, incorporates a rotary blade to disrupt a fluid film on surfaces of each tube, and is of uncomplicated design and construction. The blade is free-floating and operates regardless of the direction of flow of the liquid through the tubes.

  • Patent number: 4585461
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a cetane improver, which includes providing a quantity of fusel oil, adding a substance which is substantially inert to a nitration process, substantially insoluble in water and soluble in fusel oil, and then separating water from the mixture and nitrating the mixture. The invention also includes the composition of matter which has application as a cetane improver which includes a mixture of from 5 to 25% ethyl nitrate and 16 to 33% isobutyl nitrate and 30 to 77% isoamyl nitrate mixed with fusel oil.

  • Patent number: 4330304
Abstract: A fuel additive to improve liquid fuel combustion efficiency which includes a nitroparaffin, a hydroperoxide, and propylene oxide. Ordinarily the nitroparaffin is between 3% and 65%, by weight, of the entire additive and the hydroperoxide is between 1/2% and 15%, by weight, of the entire additive and has a pH between 7.0 and 8.5. The propylene oxide ordinarily is between 1% and 20%, by weight, of the total weight of the additive.

  • Patent number: 4212750
Abstract: A water base metal working lubricant includes water soluble polyalkylene glycols, a water emulsifiable high pressure lubricant component, which may be a chlorinated paraffin or a sulfurized or chlorinated fatty acid ester, and a non-ionic or anionic emulsifier for the high pressure lubricant. The latter is provided by a salt of a fatty acid sulfonate or sulfate, or a phosphate organic acid or ester of a fatty acid. The mixture may also include anticorrosives and a bactericide.
