  • Patent number: 9491077
Abstract: A tool for monitoring the use of devices in an interconnected network. Desired network information, such as the use of browsers on the networked devices, the use of other applications hosted on the networked devices, and the speed and volume of data traffic to and within the network, may be collected by one or more network management tools operating within the network, and then provided to an outside reporting server. In response, the reporting server then organizes and reports the collected information to one or more authorized parties associated with the network. The reporting server may send the collected network information directly to the authorized parties via electronic mail, or provide access to the collected network information by posting it on a secured Web site.

  • Patent number: 9026639
Abstract: A system for optimizing a network having a plurality of network devices. The system includes a network monitoring tool simultaneously executable on at least one of the network devices and configured to diagnose a condition of the network. The network monitoring tool includes an information collection module configured to collect an information set relating to performance of each of the network devices, an action module configured to execute an action in response to the information set, the action relating to a diagnosed condition of the network, and an information transmission module configured to transmit the information set to an electronic device remote from the network. The system further includes a configuring tool executable on a server computing device. The configuring tool includes an information receiving module configured to receive the information set, and a programming module configured to configure the network monitoring tool based on the received collected information.

  • Patent number: 6963484
Abstract: An airflow blocker component of an apparatus in one example is coupled with a support component. The airflow blocker component comprises a flexible flap portion that is bendable away from the support component into a position that directs one or more airflow portions to promote an increased cooling of one or more thermal components.

  • Patent number: 5943657
Abstract: Pricing and charging arrangements available to communication network operators or service providers take account of factors such as taxes which affect the billable value and which may be put in place in many different ways and at variable times in relation to data processing exercises which need to be carried out. A system is provided which can be used in generating bills by applying modifying factors which can be changed or added to in a relatively easy manner. An object-oriented front end for a legacy system can be used in design and subsequently embedded. Programs developed in an object oriented environment are converted into instructions implementable by a procedurally based processing device. An activity hierarchy of functions is created for each object, a data subject area is created for each object and a main calling program specifies the relationship between the programs and data areas so as to retain encapsulation of the original object oriented definition.
