  • Patent number: 11171943
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and network traffic manager apparatus that assists with adding an online certificate status protocol (OCSP) in conjunction with generated certificates includes receiving a client request to access a website via a TLS connection. A server certificate is generated for the requested website. Next, a proof of validity is generated for the generated server certificate. The generated server certificate and the generated proof of validity of the generated server certificate are provided to a client during a TLS handshake period.

  • Patent number: 10454768
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards using policy rules that may be extended by scripting operative on a traffic management device. Each policy rule may have a condition and a corresponding action. If the condition is a script, a script engine separate from the policy engine may be employed to execute the script to determine if the condition is met. Otherwise, the policy engine may determine if the condition is met based on declarative expressions that comprise the condition. If the condition is met the action corresponding to the policy rule may be executed. Scripts may be used to compute the values of operands that may be used in one or more of the expression that comprise a condition for a policy rule. Also, the action corresponding to a policy rule may be implemented using a script that is executed by a script engine.

  • Patent number: 8020197
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing explicit delegation with strong authentication are described herein. Systems can include one or more clients, one or more end servers, and one or more gateways intermediate or between the client and the end server. The client may include an explicit strong delegation component that is adapted to strongly authenticate the client to the gateway. The explicit strong delegation component may also explicitly delegate to the gateway a right to authenticate on behalf of the client, and to define a period of time over which the explicit delegation is valid. The system may be viewed as being self-contained, in the sense that the system need not access third-party certificate or key distribution authorities. Finally, the client controls the gateways or end servers to which the gateway may authenticate on the client's behalf.

  • Publication number: 20090327354
Abstract: Techniques for notification and synchronization are described. Some techniques may comprise receiving a synchronization request and establishing an updating session connection. The updating session may be based on a delay interval parameter specifying a length of a delay interval and a collection parameter specifying one or more collections to be synchronized. When data for the collections to be synchronized is unchanged, the updating session may be maintained, and the synchronization request may be kept pending. Upon receiving a notification from a data store during the delay interval that updated data is available for one or more of the collections to be synchronized, a synchronization session connection is established with the data store to retrieve the updated data. A notification and synchronization message comprising the updated data may be sent as a response to the pending synchronization request. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6173327
Abstract: An object-oriented method and apparatus for delivering information from one component to another across a network of computers includes the steps of loading implementation libraries for adapter and information provider components into memory and creating factory objects for those components. When a request arrives over the network, the factory objects are called and stream objects are created by the factory objects. Data is then streamed from an information provider source to the original requester using the stream objects.
