  • Publication number: 20170141616
Abstract: A contactless connector system is disclosed. The contactless connector system has a power transmitting connector and a power receiving connector. The power transmitting connector has a primary resonant circuit generating a magnetic field at a primary inductive coupler, a primary data transceiver, and a primary control unit connected to and controlling the resonant circuit and the primary data transceiver. The power receiving connector has a secondary inductive coupler electromagnetically coupled to the primary inductive coupler and receiving electric power from the primary inductive coupler, a secondary data transceiver connected with the primary data transceiver to form a bi-directional data link with the primary data transceiver, and a secondary sensing unit measuring at least one secondary operational parameter. The primary control unit controls the resonant circuit based on the at least one secondary operational parameter.

  • Patent number: 8517777
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically conductive contact member for an electrical connector, comprising a terminal portion adapted to be mechanically and electrically connected to at least one conductor, a contact portion adapted to contact a mating contact portion of a mating connector, a spring portion that electrically connects the terminal portion to the contact portion, the contact portion being supported by the spring portion elastically displaceable from a resting position to a displacement position, and a holding portion that comprises a picking platform for attachment of a pick-up head, wherein the holding portion provides a stop against which, in the resting position, the spring portion is pressed. To improve the mechanical and electrical performance, the spring portion is spaced apart from the picking platform in the displacement position.

  • Patent number: 8309868
Abstract: The invention relates to a Switch connector for mounting on a printed circuit board, adapted to receive a mating connector in an insertion direction along an insertion axis. The switch connector comprises a shield, a contact element, and a contact spring having at least one fixed leg, at least one elastically deflectable switching leg, and at least one spring bend, the fixed leg and the switching leg extending from the spring bend in a common direction and passing the insertion axis. The switching leg is adapted to be moved by insertion of the mating connector from a rest position, at which the switching leg exerts a spring force onto the contact element, to a switching position, at which the switching leg is spaced apart from the contact element, at least one spring force flux that in the rest position is generated by the switching leg and guided in a closed loop to the fixed leg. To increase the reliability of the switching function, the shield is arranged in the closed loop of the spring force flux.
