    Abstract: A method for the cold retreading of a tire comprising the following steps: a removal step, wherein the tread is removed from the tire, exposing an equatorial surface of a casing of the tire; a deposition step, during which a cushion and a pre-cured tread strip provided with a tread pattern are deposited around the equatorial surface of the casing; and a curing step, wherein the cushion arranged between the casing and the pre-cured tread strip is cured. The cushion is manufactured with a compound comprising at least one conductive material in a quantity ranging from 5% to 20% by weight, having a specific surface area which is greater than or equal to 300 m2/g, and chosen among graphite and graphene. The curing step comprises a connection step, wherein said cushion is connected to a heat/power source.

The method comprises obtaining driving data (18), from the electronic device, relating to the driving of the vehicle, and determining, from the driving data, an amount of driving performed on at least one of a plurality of different road types (20). The method further comprises forming a road type driving profile (22) comprising one or more road types and the associated determined amount of driving performed thereon and selecting, from a plurality of different tires, a suitable tire (24) for the vehicle based on at least the road type driving profile.

The retreading method also comprises a conductive interposition step, during which a conductive adhesive compound (5) is deposited between said cushion (4) and said pre-cured tread strip (6) and/or between said cushion (4) and said casing (3). The conductive adhesive compound (5) comprises at least one conductive material in a quantity ranging from 5 to 20% by weight and chosen among graphene, graphite and a carbon black having a surface area which is greater than or equal to 300 m2/gr.
