  • Publication number: 20230287187
Abstract: The invention pertains to the use of porous, chemically interconnected, carbon-nanofiber comprising carbon networks for reinforcing thermosetting material as well as to the reinforced material. In one aspect, the invention relates to the use of at least 0.1 wt %, more preferably at least 0.5 wt %, even more preferably at least 1 wt %, even more preferably at least 2 wt %, most preferably at least 3 wt. %, preferably 2-60 wt. %, more preferably 3-50 wt %, more preferably 5-45 wt % of a porous, chemically interconnected, carbon-nanofibers-comprising carbon network for reinforcing carbon-based fiber in a thermoset material, said weight based on the total weight of the reinforced thermoset material.

  • Patent number: 10654764
Abstract: Alkylated aromatic products are produced in a process comprising the steps of pyrolysing a pyrolysable raw material in a pyrolysis process to obtain a pyrolysis product stream containing a phenolic product and aromatics products; separating the pyrolysis product stream into a first product stream containing phenolic products and a second product stream containing aromatics products; subjecting the first product stream to a hydrogenation reaction to hydrogenate the phenolic product to obtain an aliphatic alcohol; then reacting the aliphatic alcohol with the aromatics products in the presence of a transalkylation catalyst comprising a solid acid catalyst to form an alkylated aromatic product. The alkylated aromatic product may be subjected to further treatment such as hydroprocessing. The alkylated aromatics product may be used in the production of fuels from biomass.
