    Abstract: The invention comprises trunk lock apparatus for locking a trunk having a rectangular bottom with upright front and rear and side panels, with a rectangular lid pivotally mounted at its rear edge to the top of the rear panel of the receptacle bottom of the trunk. The trunk lock apparatus has a horizontal latch panel pivotally mounted to the front panel of the receptacle near the top of the front panel which is pivotally mounted its top edge to pivot in an arc about its bottom edge forward toward the front panel and rearward away from the front panel with spring means urging the latch panel rearward. The lid has a downward projecting flange mounted to the underside of its forward edge and projecting downward therefrom with a forward projecting lip portion at the bottom of the flange.

    Abstract: A storage box for mounting in the rear end of a pick up truck by extending laterally across the rear end of the truck. The truck has a towing hitch mounted to the rear of the truck immediately in front of the box, and a 5th wheel trailer has an elonated towing arm fixed to its front end which can be detachably mounted to the hitch of the truck while extending over the top of the storage box. The storage box has a bottom receptacle portion and a top cover portion pivotally mounted to the bottom portion. The cover portion has a depression intermediate the ends of the cover whereby the cover portion may be pivoted upward and the towing arm may be received in the depression in the cover portion while the ends of the cover portion may be beside the towing arm to enable the ends of the cover portion to have a greater depth and the cover portion to pivot upward at a greater angle for easier access into the bottom of the box.

    Abstract: The invention comprises a trunk for pickup trucks having a base with surrounding side walls and a horizontally slidable panel across the top of the box. The trunk is mounted on a pickup truck in the back behind the cab between the rear side panels of the truck. The trunk has guideway members along its front and rear side walls. The cover panel has cooperating guide members along its front and rear edge to enable the cover to slide off and on the trunk from either side of the box and truck. The guideway members are mounted in close proximity above the top edge of the rear side walls of the truck whereby the cover panel may slide over the side panels of the truck when opening and closing the trunk. The cover has an elongated handle bar along its front edge with downward projecting lug means at each end and for locking the cover closed over the box.
