  • Patent number: 9144631
Abstract: The invention relates to implants which are based on a biodegradable thixotropic compound having pseudoplastic properties and which can be injected subcutaneously or intradermally into the fibrous tissue. The inventive implant comprises microparticles of at least one biocompatible ceramic compound which are suspended in a vector fluid containing at least one hyaluronic acid-based compound and at least one biodegradable thixotropic compound having pseudoplastic properties. The invention also relates to a kit for the extemporaneous use of such implants, the production of said implants and the use thereof in order to fill wrinkles and/or fine lines and/or cutaneous depressions and/or scars.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 27, 2004
Date of Patent: September 29, 2015
    Inventors: Jerome Asius, Benedicte Asius
  • Patent number: 8414657
Abstract: The invention concerns an injection implant for filling up wrinkles, thin lines, skin cracks and scars, for reparative or plastic surgery, aesthetic dermatology, and for filling up gums in dental treatment. The invention concerns the use of biologically absorbable polymer microspheres or microparticles suspended in a gel. The suspension is produced either ready-for-use or freeze-dried. The biological absorbability of the microspheres is controlled and enables the production of implants having well defined persistence and deliberately limited to 3 years.

  • Publication number: 20090263447
Abstract: The present invention relates to a crosslinked hyaluronic acid that can be obtained according to a process comprising: (a) activation of a hyaluronic acid, (b) reaction of the activated hyaluronic acid with an oligopeptide- or polypeptide-based crosslinking agent, in a reaction medium adjusted to a pH of from 8 to 12, so as to obtain a crosslinked hyaluronic acid, (c) adjustment of the pH of the reaction medium to a value ranging from 5 to 7, and (d) precipitation of the crosslinked hyaluronic acid from an organic solvent. It also relates to the above process, to a hydrogel obtained from the crosslinked hyaluronic acid and to the use of the crosslinked hyaluronic acid for the manufacture of implants that can be used in particular in plastic surgery.
