  • Patent number: 11138986
Abstract: A method for filtering a sound signal acquired by a voice recognition system is proposed wherein the filter used to delete the unwanted sound signal is based on a noise model created from a history of preceding acquisitions of the sound signal. The method is based on the history for predicting the characteristics of the signal in the course of acquisition and relies on this prediction to establish the noise model used by the filtering function.

  • Patent number: 10992970
Abstract: In order to reduce the large volume of data transmitted over a network, immersive videos are frequently represented by a multiple versions, each version being optimised in terms of quality for a point of view on the immersive video, the immersive video parts not representing the point of view for which the version was optimised being of lower quality. In this context, when a user using suitable viewing equipment views the immersive video, he must change version whenever he changes point of view. Each version is generally stored on a server relatively distant from the viewing equipment, which may give rise to latencies in the reception of a new version following a change of point of view. This latency time is reduced by allowing a node in the intermediate network between the server and the viewing equipment to transmit each version to the equipment in place of the server.

  • Publication number: 20210065749
Abstract: A method of decoding an incoming audio/video stream received by a decoder box that is connected to audio playback equipment and to video playback equipment, the method comprising the steps of evaluating an audio latency and a video latency; if the audio (or respectively video) latency is greater than the video (or resp. audio) latency, testing a first condition to ensure that the time difference (?t_a, ?t_v) between the presentation time stamp of the audio (or resp. video) samples and the reference clock signal is sufficient, and if the first condition is satisfied, acting, when decoding the audio (or resp. video), to decrease the presentation time stamp of the audio (or resp. video) samples in order to advance playback of the audio (or resp. video) samples, thereby compensating at least in part the latency difference between the audio (or resp. video) latency and the video (or resp. audio) latency.

  • Publication number: 20200092591
Abstract: A method for transmitting an immersive video between a network unit and an item of viewing equipment enables users to simultaneously view the immersive video which has a series of sets of images each composed of blocks of pixels. The immersive video is transmitted in a compressed form to each item of viewing equipment. For each set of images: information is obtained representing a point of view on the immersive video of each user; at least one privileged zone is determined corresponding to at least some of the points of view; for each image included in the set of images, a higher compression rate on average than a mean of the compression rates applied to the blocks of pixels belonging to a privileged zone is applied to the blocks of pixels not belonging to a privileged zone; and the set of images is transmitted to each item of viewing equipment.

  • Publication number: 20200052915
Abstract: An equipment can function according to a plurality of operating modes that include a deep standby mode in which the energy consumption is minimum, an active mode in which the energy consumption is maximum and a light standby mode in which the energy consumption is intermediate between deep standby and active mode, a change from the deep standby mode to the active mode being slower than a change from the light standby mode to the active mode. The method enables an electricity meter supervising an electricity network to which an item of equipment is connected to control the change of said equipment to light standby mode. To do this, the meter implements a procedure for the detection of human presence based on an analysis of the electrical consumption in the electricity network and activates the light standby mode of the equipment when a user is detected.

  • Publication number: 20150318990
Abstract: A control device controlling a device obtains a key that is supposed to be a public encryption key of a device recipient of data is to be transmitted in encrypted form. The control device obtains information derived from the public encryption key of the recipient device, and checks the obtained key, thanks to said information derived from the public encryption key of the recipient device. The control device authorises or prohibits the communication device from transmitting the data in encrypted form thanks to the obtained key, according to said checking.
