    Abstract: A device for manipulation of a syringe needle and for sharps disposal is provided. Beneficially, in one aspect, single-handed use of the device is facilitated. In another aspect, the device includes advantageous features for guiding a needle tip into a needle cap. In yet other aspects, the device beneficially includes a protective cover which prevents accidental loss of used sharps from the device, and the device includes an aperture which engages a needle cap by cutting into the needle cap.
