  • Apparatus and method for interfacing indirect-fire devices with MILES

    Abstract: An acoustic receiver for interfacing indirect-fire weapons with the Multi Integrated Laser Engagement System ("MILES") responds to the presence of a device when the device generates a predetermined acoustic signal upon simulated explosion. The simulator then momentarily disconnects the MILES power supply from the rest of the MILES circuit. This action causes the MILES to generate an audible alarm indicating a hit by the explosive device.
