  • Patent number: 11076224
Abstract: Method and device for processing a video sequence containing a succession of images of one or more participant speakers, captured by a wide-angle camera. The method includes: capturing sound using a microphone having a plurality of sensors for capturing a sound field; processing the audio data captured by the microphone in order to determine at least one direction of origin of sound coming from a participant, relative to an optical axis of the wide-angle camera; generating a signal including data concerning the direction of origin of the sound relative to the optical axis of the camera, for the purpose of utilizing the signal when rendering the captured images by zooming into an area around the participant emitting the sound for which the direction of origin corresponds to the data of the signal.

  • Patent number: 10424313
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for updating post-processing states applied to a decoded audio signal. The method is such that, for a current decoded signal frame, sampled at a different sampling frequency from the preceding frame, it includes the following acts: obtaining a past decoded signal, stored for the preceding frame; re-sampling by interpolation of the past decoded signal obtained; using the re-sampled past decoded signal as a memory for post-processing the current frame. A decoding method is also provided, which includes updating post-processing states.

  • Patent number: 9940943
Abstract: A method for resampling an audio-frequency signal with an output sampling frequency, for a current signal frame. The method is used when the preceding frame is sampled at a first sampling frequency which is different from a second sampling frequency of the current frame. The method includes: determining a first and second segments of the signal by adding samples at zero at the end of stored samples of the preceding frame and at the start of samples of the current frame, respectively; obtaining the first resampled segment and the second resampled segment by applying at least one resampling filter respectively to the first segment resampling the first frequency at the output frequency, and to the second segment resampling the second frequency at the output frequency; and combining the overlapping portion of the first and second resampled segments to obtain at least one portion of the resampled current frame.

  • Patent number: 9761230
Abstract: A method for processing a digital signal, implemented during decoding of the signal, in order to replace a succession of samples lost during decoding, the method comprising steps of: generating a structure of a signal for replacing the lost succession, this structure comprising spectral components determined from valid samples received during decoding before the succession of lost samples; generating a residue between a digital signal available to the decoder, comprising received valid samples, and a signal generated from the spectral components; and extracting blocks from the residue, method in which window weighted blocks are injected into the structure using an overlap-add approach, the injected blocks partially overlapping in time.

  • Publication number: 20170036100
Abstract: A Prohibition era game apparatus disclosed, with a plurality of indicia properties, and speakeasies on the paths of the board. A player buys properties and receives a trespass fee if someone trespasses, or become a Bootlegger and places a still on said properties receiving substantially more in trespass fees. Bootleggers can purchase whiskey barrels from Whiskey for Sale spaces on the paths and Bootleg the Moonshine to speakeasies as the GGG-Man pursues them. The GGG-Man randomly moves around the paths of the board to arrest Bootleggers. An honest player receive rewards, a Bootlegger is faced with jail. To receive the maximum trespassing fee a player must operate a still simultaneously on one of the two main properties, Mr. Big or JB's Place and on the other properties he owns, without getting caught. The last player left that owns Mr. Big or JB's Place and dominates the board, wins.

  • Patent number: 9514498
Abstract: The method and system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention allows ensuring consistency of the PNR record when it is handled within the subsystem controlled by the reservation interceptor module and including a plurality of OBEs. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention the PNR context on open systems is centralized to avoid its fragmentation in the distributed environment, as gathering of all the context parts implies performance issues. In addition, instead of implementing a transaction session protocol to handle a start of transaction, intermediate updates and a final commit or rollback on the PNR context, the principle of the service interceptor architecture is to delegate the functional queries with the current user PNR context which will be modified in the central repository of PNR context only at response time when the whole functional use-case is finished.

  • Patent number: 9082251
Abstract: Networked product containers such as vending machines identify the presence of a potential customer via sensors, and present customized interactive marketing content to consumers. Consumers interact with a touch screen to win prizes, make purchases, or have a fun and interactive experience. The prizes and purchases offered by the product container may be determined by the product container or by one or more content servers in communication with the container. The content server may also provide digital content for display on the product container and remotely update the product container's content. The networked product container also includes a wireless access point to provide nearby wireless-enabled devices network connectivity via the product container.

  • Patent number: 8701423
Abstract: The present inventive disclosure is directed generally to an improved automobile air-conditioning system that can be operated while the automobile's engine is not running. In variations, a typical vapor-compression-cycle air-conditioning system is modified to allow the refrigerant compressor to be driven from either of two power sources: (1) from a traditional engine-mounted pulley system, or (2) from a DC-motor powered by an electrical source independent from the engine. In another variation, the air-conditioning system is driven by one or more thermal-electric-cooling (TEC) modules, wherein the TEC-based system is powered by an auxiliary DC-power source that in some variations is powered by, or at least supplemented by, a solar-energy grid.

  • Patent number: 8433809
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing a user with a consistent view of user session. The method includes providing application servers with data storage means for storing part of the user context for that user session, defining for each user session a set of application servers having each an affinity with the user session. At a routing means, receiving a request and routing transactions of the user session toward the application servers, assigning to the user session a correlation record (DCX) arranged to comprise Affinity Keys, each Affinity Key indicating an application server that has an affinity with the user session for a given software application, and propagating the correlation record with transactions, allowing thereby the routing means to target the application servers that are linked to the user context of that user session and that process the software application relevant to process the transaction.
