  • Publication number: 20240012093
Abstract: A method of processing audio signals acquired by at least one microphone to locate a sound source in a space having a wall. The method includes applying a time-frequency transform to the acquired signals and expressing a general complex velocity vector with a real part and an imaginary part in the frequency domain. The vector has a denominator with a component other than an omnidirectional component and characterizes a composition between: a first acoustic path, direct between the source and the microphone, represented by a first vector, and a second acoustic path resulting from a reflection on the wall and represented by a second vector. The second path has a delay relative to the direct path. A direction of the direct path, a distance from the source to the microphone, and/or a distance from the source to the wall is determined as a function of the delay and the vectors.

  • Publication number: 20230026881
Abstract: Processing sound signals acquired by a microphone, for example an ambisonic type, to locate a sound source in a space including at least one wall. A time-frequency transform is applied to the acquired signals, and, from the acquired signals, a velocity vector, complex with real and imaginary parts, is expressed in the frequency domain, wherein the velocity vector characterizes a composition between: a first acoustic path, direct between the source and the microphone, represented by a first vector; and a second acoustic path resulting from a reflection on the wall and represented by a second vector. The second path has a first delay with respect to the direct path. Depending on the first delay and the first and second vectors, a parameter is determined from among a direction of the direct path, a distance from the source to the microphone, and a distance from the source to said wall.

  • Patent number: 10424313
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for updating post-processing states applied to a decoded audio signal. The method is such that, for a current decoded signal frame, sampled at a different sampling frequency from the preceding frame, it includes the following acts: obtaining a past decoded signal, stored for the preceding frame; re-sampling by interpolation of the past decoded signal obtained; using the re-sampled past decoded signal as a memory for post-processing the current frame. A decoding method is also provided, which includes updating post-processing states.

  • Patent number: 9761230
Abstract: A method for processing a digital signal, implemented during decoding of the signal, in order to replace a succession of samples lost during decoding, the method comprising steps of: generating a structure of a signal for replacing the lost succession, this structure comprising spectral components determined from valid samples received during decoding before the succession of lost samples; generating a residue between a digital signal available to the decoder, comprising received valid samples, and a signal generated from the spectral components; and extracting blocks from the residue, method in which window weighted blocks are injected into the structure using an overlap-add approach, the injected blocks partially overlapping in time.

  • Publication number: 20170036100
Abstract: A Prohibition era game apparatus disclosed, with a plurality of indicia properties, and speakeasies on the paths of the board. A player buys properties and receives a trespass fee if someone trespasses, or become a Bootlegger and places a still on said properties receiving substantially more in trespass fees. Bootleggers can purchase whiskey barrels from Whiskey for Sale spaces on the paths and Bootleg the Moonshine to speakeasies as the GGG-Man pursues them. The GGG-Man randomly moves around the paths of the board to arrest Bootleggers. An honest player receive rewards, a Bootlegger is faced with jail. To receive the maximum trespassing fee a player must operate a still simultaneously on one of the two main properties, Mr. Big or JB's Place and on the other properties he owns, without getting caught. The last player left that owns Mr. Big or JB's Place and dominates the board, wins.

  • Patent number: 9514498
Abstract: The method and system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention allows ensuring consistency of the PNR record when it is handled within the subsystem controlled by the reservation interceptor module and including a plurality of OBEs. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention the PNR context on open systems is centralized to avoid its fragmentation in the distributed environment, as gathering of all the context parts implies performance issues. In addition, instead of implementing a transaction session protocol to handle a start of transaction, intermediate updates and a final commit or rollback on the PNR context, the principle of the service interceptor architecture is to delegate the functional queries with the current user PNR context which will be modified in the central repository of PNR context only at response time when the whole functional use-case is finished.
