  • Patent number: 4560065
Abstract: A carton stabilizing device including a top web, a bottom web, first and second side webs, and two tabs projecting downward from said top web.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4355502
Abstract: A polymeric chain link including two sidebars and a barrel connecting the sidebars. The barrel is comprised of a male barrel portion and a female barrel portion, each barrel portion being an integral extension of one of the sidebars. The male barrel portion fits inside the female barrel portion, and the inner mating surface of the female barrel portion cooperates with the outer mating surface of the male barrel portion to couple the two portions, mechanically locking them together.

  • Patent number: 4220052
Abstract: The ends of the metal pins of a chain of balanced design are carried in the aligned bores of the chain link sidebars. The links are of an engineering plastic and the ends of each pin are deliberately fitted differently in the one and the other bores of the two sidebars such that cyclic loading as in chain operation causes the pin to "walk" in the direction of the other bore. Abutment means prevents movement of the pin in that direction and the pin is thereby self-securing but can be readily removed in the other direction when required.

  • Patent number: 4051921
Abstract: A grease plug adapted to fit into a cross hole in communication with a through-greasing passage and to reduce the effective cross-sectional area of the cross hole. The grease plug comprises (1) a generally cylindrical plug portion having at least one grease passage extending generally axially thereof and (2) a generally hook-shaped mounting portion which functions as a snap lock to retain the plug portion in the cross hole. In one embodiment, the mounting portion itself is long enough to bear against the inner surface of the through-greasing passage to prevent the grease plug from being lost therein; in another embodiment, a spacing portion is provided on the bottom of the mounting portion, and the spacing portion bears against the inner surface of the through-greasing passage. The grease passage can have various shapes.

  • Patent number: 3984160
Abstract: The specification describes two embodiments of a one-piece rear grease seal for an idler roller mounted on a shaft. Both embodiments comprise an annular lip in the shape of a truncated cone, an annular ring integrally connected to the larger end of the annular lip, and an annular web integrally connected to the outer end of the annular ring. In one embodiment, an annular groove is found on the annular ring to receive an axial end of an inner tube mounted concentrically about the shaft; the other embodiment does not have this feature.

  • Patent number: 3964800
Abstract: A wear strip for conveyor chains comprising a flat upper wear member having at least two spaced-apart holes therethrough for the reception of connection means, at least one linear support member joined to the underside of the wear member, and at least two base members joined to the underside of the wear member and having holes therethrough in registry with the holes through the wear member. The whole wear strip is preferably integrally injection molded, and each of the holes in the wear member are preferably countersunk on the upper surface. Two embodiments are disclosed, one in which one linear support member is joined to the wear member along each lateral edge thereof and one in which a single linear support member is joined to the wear member along one lateral edge thereof.
