  • Patent number: 7584618
Abstract: A system for controlling a flow of air applied to a gas turbine shroud in an airplane engine, the air flow being adjusted by a regulator valve of position that is controlled by a first control signal calculated on the basis of a first setpoint value corresponding to predetermined clearance between the rotor and the turbine shroud. The system further comprises means for calculating at least one second control signal based on a second setpoint value different from the first value representative of clearance in the turbine, and selector means for-selecting the second control signal to control the regulator valve in response to one or more engine parameters. With such a system, it is possible to control the air flow applied to the shroud in application of a plurality of control logic systems.

  • Publication number: 20090165995
Abstract: The invention relates to an air-oil heat exchanger located at the inner shroud of the secondary duct of a turbojet. In characteristic manner, it comprises an oil circuit placed inside the separator nose and fins placed outside the top wall of the separator nose, between the leading edge of the separator nose and the outlet guide vanes.

  • Patent number: 7360987
Abstract: A method of assembling sectored elements of an annular stator of a high-pressure turbine of a turbomachine about a longitudinal axis of said turbine, in which method an angular distribution pattern is defined for distributing elements of the stator over a predetermined angular sector, said pattern being defined so as to prevent inter-sector zones of stator elements being in radial alignment, said zones being defined between two adjacent sectors of the same stator element, and so as to repeat said distribution pattern around the entire circumference of the stator.

  • Publication number: 20060239812
Abstract: A device applied to regulating the flow rate of air flowing in a rotary shaft of a turbomachine, the shaft including at least one through orifice for passing air. The device at least one shutter member for shutting the orifice and secured to a deformable blade presenting bi-linear behavior, the blade being secured to the shaft and being suitable for deforming under the effect of the centrifugal force that results from the shaft rotating such that the shutter member is suitable for taking up two different positions depending on the speed of rotation of the shaft: one position in which it shuts the orifice; and another position in which it releases the orifice to allow air to pass through.

  • Patent number: 6149074
Abstract: The housing is heated or cooled to adjust its diameter and, in particular, the play between the tips of the rotor blades and the housing. The apparatus consists of networks of tubes (1) covering complementary portions of the circumference of the housing and consisting of a pair of distributors (3) and parallel tubes (2) between said distributors, said tubes (2) being alternately connected to one or other of the distributors and provided with apertures to blow the gas onto the housing. The counter-flow circulation in the tubes (2) makes it possible to supply both gas that has been greatly heated by traveling a considerable distance through the tubes (2) and cooler gas that has traveled less far in other tubes (2) to any point on the housing, thereby balancing out the heat applied to every portion of the housing.

  • Patent number: 6035929
Abstract: A heating or cooling apparatus for a turbo-machine housing collar that adjusts the diameter of the housing using chambers that are arcs of a circle through which gas is blown onto the ribs of the housing. The gas circulates in a counterflow direction or in alternate directions for adjacent chambers in order to equalize the blowing conditions at every paint of the ribs.

  • Patent number: 5429208
Abstract: A depressurization device for the lubrication chambers which surround the bearings of a turbomachine comprises venting ducts which communicate the lubrication chambers with the outside, and is provided with an auxiliary pumping mechanism which is arranged to be operated, when required, by way of an external pressure source. Preferably the venting ducts are provided with an air/lubricant separator and the auxiliary pumping mechanism comprises a jet nozzle which is located in the air exhaust duct from the separator, the external pressure source being the compressor of another turbomachine.
