  • Publication number: 20240078900
Abstract: A system and method for simulating a transportation network is disclosed herein. A simulation may be configured at a configuration application, which enables designers and hyperloop operators to enter real-world constraints as alignment data. A plurality of travel scenarios may be run in order to generate simulated run results. An analytics engine may perform analysis on the simulated run results in order to inform designers and hyperloop operators seeking to improve the transportation network. A prediction modeler may be utilized to predict events occurring in the transportation network as simulated. Parallel processing may be utilized to increase the efficiency and speed of the simulation. The simulation may be performed before, during, and after the implementation of the transportation network.

  • Publication number: 20230347950
Abstract: A system and method for performing braking operations on a hyperloop pod are disclosed herein. The hyperloop pod may have a secondary braking system, wherein the secondary braking system may be operable to provide a first braking force. The hyperloop pod may have a transponder communication system and a line-of-sight system, wherein the line-of-sight system may be operable to detect a second hyperloop pod at a line-of-sight distance. The hyperloop pod may have a memory and a processor operable to detect a second hyperloop pod and determine a collision margin between the hyperloop pod and the second hyperloop pod. The hyperloop pod may engage the secondary braking system if a safety margin is equal to or greater than the collision margin.

  • Publication number: 20220324332
Abstract: A solution is disclosed that is related to the supervised operation of an autonomous hyperloop network. The disclosed solution provides for a hybrid approach to managing an autonomous network wherein human-based and computer-based commands may be send to a plurality of hyperloop pods in order to provide safety and efficiency for the hyperloop network. Issues may be presented to human operators such that actions may be taken to address the issues. Additionally, recommendations as to which action to take may be presented to the human operator via a user interface. The human operator may define a set of global restrictions and operational parameters as a policy that constrains the operations of the hyperloop pods within the hyperloop network.

  • Patent number: 9539513
Abstract: Methods and systems for simulating dynamic motion and position. The methods and systems are particularly well-suited for use in sports simulation video games (e.g., a basketball simulation) and gaming systems. Using a simplified model of mass and structure and a physics engine, realistic movement can be mimicked by simulation/game entities. For each entity a sense of balance may be measured that affects the entities ability to achieve objectives. The entities are projected onto an n-dimensional space, the properties of which affect the probability that an entity will succeed with respect to a given objective. The methods and systems may be used to generate a visual representation of simulation, such as in a video game.

  • Patent number: 4657781
Abstract: A crosslinking process wherein at a temperature of about 10.degree. to 160.degree. C., under a pressure of about 1 to 300 bars and for at least about 0.5 hour, a polymer, containing from about 42 to 99% by weight of units derived from ethylene and, where appropriate, also from an .alpha.-olefin, from about 1 to 8% by weight of units derived from maleic anhydride and from 0 to about 50% by weight of units derived from at least one additional monomer selected from an ester of an unsaturated carboxylic acid with an alcohol containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, is reacted with at least one polyepoxide compound, preferably present in an amount of from about 1 to 10 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the polymer, in the presence of at least one catalyst suitable for reacting the anhydride functions with the epoxide functions. The catalyst is preferably present in an amount from about 0.02 to 2 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the polymer.
