Abstract: Described is a method for inhibiting apocrine gland sweating or eccrine gland sweating enabled by the apparent action of phospholipase D on surface skin cell secretions whereby synaptosomal phospholipase D catalyzes the release of choline from phosphatidylcholine for acetyl choline formation. Also described are specific organic polyol antiperspirant active-containing compositions useful for carrying out such processes and antiperspirant stick articles, “roll-on” devices, aerosol devices, lotions, and the like employable in carrying out such processes and using such polyol antiperspirant active-containing compositions.

Abstract: Described is a human epidermal and/or human hair treatment composition of (i) fragrance and/or malodour counteractant and (ii) fragrance- and/or malodour counteractant-compatible solvent-containing microcapsules provided in a suspension gel or emulsion. Also described is a method for delivery of fragrance and beneficial agents to the human epidermal surface area region treatment and/or human hair treatment wherein the microcapsules remain on the human epidermis and/or on the hair follicles for a substantial period of time subsequent to their application and the microcapsules are ruptured over a period of time, thereby effecting both an initial delivery of fragrance and beneficial agent subsequent to rubbing, and, in addition, a controlled release of fragrance and beneficial agents into to the treated human epidermis and/or hair follicles.

Abstract: Described in a process for aromatizing and/or deodorizing the environment surrounding the flush tank of a toilet by using a detachably affixable and refillable attachment for the flush tank which produces a cleanser and/or sanitizer and/or deodorant and/or aromatizing solution with the water stored in the flush tank and which produces an emission into the atmosphere surrounding the flush tank of an aromatizing and/or deodorizing substance for discrete time periods during each flushing cycle without the use of complicated appurtenances, such as aerosol spray cans. The attachment is substantially contained within the flush tank of the toilet and is actuated in response to the level of the water in the tank.

Abstract: A process for using a detachably affixable and refillable attachment for a flush tank toilet is disclosed which produces a cleanser and/or sanitizer and/or deodorant and/or aromatizing solution with the water stored in the flush tank and which produces an emission into the atmosphere surrounding the flush tank of an aromatizing and/or deodorizing substance for discrete time periods during each flushing cycle without the use of complicated appurtenances, such as aerosol spray cans. The attachment is substantially contained within the flush tank of the toilet and is actuated in response to the level of the water in the tank. The aromatizing and/or deodorizing substance is in the liquid phase and is substantially immiscible with the remainder of the liquid substance with which it is in contact in said detachably affixable and refillable attachment.

The attachment is substantially contained within the flush tank of the toilet and is actuated in response to the level of the water in the tank. Also disclosed are processes for using such apparatus.
