  • Patent number: 11721946
Abstract: An optical system element includes a first enclosure designed for receiving in circulation a functional fluid and at least one inlet and/or outlet window located on the first enclosure and through which a light beam can pass. The inlet and/or outlet window includes two viewports which delimit a spacer cavity adjacent to the first enclosure. The spacer cavity is designed to receive a second fluid with a predetermined optical index and is equipped with a device for adjusting the pressure therein. Degradation of a beam during its passage through the inlet and/or outlet window can be limited by careful selection of the optical index of the second fluid and the pressure in the spacer cavity.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 4, 2019
Date of Patent: August 8, 2023
Assignee: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES
Inventors: Lionel Lacampagne, Christian Chappuis, Jerome Neauport, Sebastien Vermersch

  • Patent number: 9671534
Abstract: The present invention relates to an optical device for reflective diffraction with high diffraction efficiency and high laser flux resistance. The device includes a protective structure having at least one mixture layer produced by a uniform mixture of a first material and of a second material, where both of these are dielectric, and wherein said first material has an optical index lower than that of the said second material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 20, 2013
Date of Patent: June 6, 2017
Assignees: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES, CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE
Inventors: Jérôme Neauport, Eric Lavastre, Laurent Gallais, Nicolas Bonod
  • Patent number: 9013794
Abstract: A dispersive optical device with a three-dimensional photonic crystal. The object is to obtain a device having a high damage threshold on the whole and the making of which is facilitated and guaranteeing optimum optical properties. This object is achieved by using a device in silica including a three-dimensional photonic crystal and a diffraction grating. This device may notably be used in a compressor system for a short pulse.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8363322
Abstract: A method of adjusting the pupil delay compensation of a convergent or divergent beam that includes placing a device composed of an afocal system comprising one or more passive optical components disposed on the propagation axis of the beam, at least one of the components being a focusing diffractive component, and moving the device along the propagation axis of the beam until the required pupil delay compensation is obtained, where the compensation is the algebraic sum of pupil delays of each passive optical component of the afocal system and lying in a range of values the limits of which are functions of the particular combination of the optical components chosen to form the afocal system of the compensation device.
