  • Patent number: 10332145
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating adjustment factors, on a per-demographic-group basis, to compensate for errors in audience verification statistics caused by co-usage of devices. The adjustment factors are based on a comparison of (a) per-group counts produced by applying one audience verification approach to a set of exposures, to (b) per-group counts produced by applying another audience verification approach to the same set of exposures. For example, the first per-group counts may be produced under the assumption that the user to whom content is exposed is the owner of the device, and the second per-group counts may be produced by obtaining demographic information directly or indirectly from a user at the time the user is exposed to the content.

  • Patent number: 8688516
Abstract: A disclosed example method involves generating a geographic-based consumption index for a product based on a first per-person sales volume of the product in a first cell of a plurality of geographic cells of a larger geographic area. The example method also involves generating a demographic-based consumption index for the product based on a second per-person sales volume of the product for a demographic group in the first cell. An advertisement to present to a person is selected based on an online web interest, a geographic location, and a demographic of the person and further based on the geographic-based consumption index and the demographic-based consumption index.

  • Patent number: 8601982
Abstract: A pet environment is disclosed that may have a platform having an outer edge and a platform aperture, the platform sloping downward from adjacent the outer edge to the platform aperture; a housing structure positioned above the platform aperture having at least one pathway in the housing structure, the pathway having at least one opening adapted to receive pet waste; and a gap between the platform and the housing structure extending along at least a portion of the platform aperture to receive pet waste from the platform. The pet environment may also have a container for collecting pet waste positioned below the aperture, and a support structure beneath the platform adapted to support the platform and the housing structure. The support structure may be flexible and may produce a vibratory effect in response to movement of an animal.
