  • Patent number: 5725499
Abstract: In one preferred embodiment, a body for a dual barreled syringe, said body including: two, parallel, cylindrical, hollow, cojoined, barrels having, respectively, open filling ends and closed discharge ends from which discharge ends axially extend discharge nozzles; and sealing apparatus, closing the discharge ends, formed monolithically with and sealing distal ends of the discharge nozzles, the sealing apparatus being manually severable from the distal ends of the discharge nozzles so as to open the discharge nozzles to permit the discharge therefrom of material held within the barrels, without the sealing apparatus being mechanically cut from the discharge nozzles.

  • Patent number: 5059172
Abstract: A two part mastitis cannula cap includes an outer cap and an inner cap. The inner cap is not as long as the cannula so that a free end of the cannula protrudes beyond an end face of the inner cap. This cannula protrusion is covered by the outer cap which is securable about the free end of the inner cap. Controlled depth partial insertion of the cannula into the teat canal of a dairy cow can be accomplished by removal of only the outer cap. Alternatively, full depth cannula insertion is accomplishable upon removal of the two parts of the cap. In one embodiment, a snap-off outer cap is used. In a second embodiment, a twist-off or breakaway outer cap is utilized.

  • Patent number: 4153056
Abstract: A syringe for dispensing medicaments or other materials includes a hollow syringe body having a discharge end portion and an open opposite end portion through which a plunger is slidably received. The plunger has a first end portion located within the syringe body and includes an integral seal forming a seal between the plunger and the interior of the syringe body. A removable length adjusting member is threadably engaged on the plunged outside of the syringe body to variably limit operating travel of the plunger in the syringe body, thereby to control the amount of material in the syringe body expelled therefrom upon depression of the plunger into the syringe body.

  • Patent number: 4122943
Abstract: A dispensing container for combining and then dispensing two discrete materials includes a first open top container element for containing the first material, e.g. a fluid and a second container element having closed upper and lower ends for containing the other of the two materials, e.g. a powder or a liquid. The second container element is dimensioned to be telescopically received with its lower end within the open topped container element. A valve is provided in the lower end of the second container element for normally keeping the materials in the container elements separate but permitting fluid in the first container element to flow into the second container element upon depression of the second container element, thereby causing materials in the two containers to combine. The upper end of the second container element may be provided with a removable cover so that the mixed materials can be dispensed.
