The product offering is then communicated to a retailer and a product display is created at a retail site that resembles the product offering. Either simultaneously or sequentially, the product offering is communicated to potential purchasers, using multimedia advertisement, to inform them of the availability of such disposable absorbent incontinence products.

The method includes a step of preconditioning a substantially two-dimension web (57) to include at least four refastening surfaces (82-85). The refastenable side seams (12, 14) can be incorporated into undergarments formed from a continuous web (57) in which the pre-forms (21) (that will ultimately result in individual undergarments) are oriented in either the machine direction or the cross-direction. The web (57) can be preconditioned to include refastening surfaces (82-85) on both of what becomes the exterior surface (30) and the body-contacting surface (28) of the undergarments.

Abstract: A method of filling an upright facial tissue carton with a plurality of tissue and a support member is disclosed. The carton has a top wall, four sidewalls and a bottom wall. The top wall has an aperture formed therein through which the tissue can be withdrawn. The method includes assembling a plurality of tissues into a clip of tissue having a first surface and a second surface. A support member is placed adjacent to the second surface of the clip of tissue. The clip of tissue and the support member are both folded into an inverted U-shaped configuration. The carton is then opened and the inverted U-shaped configuration is inserted such that the first surface of the clip of tissue is positioned adjacent to the aperture. The carton is then closed and sealed to form a filled upright facial tissue carton.

Abstract: An upright facial tissue carton is disclosed with improved tissue dispensing. The carton has a top wall, four sidewalls and a bottom wall. The top wall has an aperture formed therein through which the tissue can be withdrawn. An inverted U-shaped clip of interfolded tissue is positioned within the carton. The clip of tissue is maintained in close proximity to the aperture by a support means to facilitate singular dispensing of the tissues from the carton. The support means is formed from a flexible material that is folded into an inverted U-shape along with the clip of tissue.

Abstract: Rolled creped paper products, such as kitchen towels, can be provided with high roll bulk and a high degree of roll firmness by steaming the dry, creped paper sheet immediately prior to embossing the sheet between matched steel embossing rolls. The steaming preconditions the sheet such that the resulting sheet embossments maintain their shape and structural strength, thereby imparting greater bulk and firmness to the wound roll of product. In addition, the sheet experiences less cross-machine strength reduction as a consequence of the embossing.

Abstract: High sheet count rolls of spot-embossed, soft bathroom tissue suffer from embossing patterns becoming pressed out by the high winding tension necessary to confine the size of the roll to a diameter of about 5 inches. This size is necessary in order for such high sheet count rolls to fit within the bathroom tissue dispensers found in most households. However, by embossing the tissue between a resilient back-up roll and an engraved embossing roll having short male embossing element heights of only from about 0.005 to about 0.035 inch, the tissue sheet becomes simultaneously calendered, which lowers the sheet caliper (as measured under a compressive load). Because of the resulting lower caliper, the embossed sheet can be wound into the required roll size with less tension on the sheet, such that the embossing pattern for tissue sheets within the roll remains well defined.
