The hollow cylindrical sleeve includes an inner tubular surface which includes a inner surface texture to engage the nap of the conventional paint roller and an outer surface which includes a negative relief for imprinting a texture and/or a design in uncured concrete to create an appearance of a variety of materials such as, but not limited to, brick pavers, stone, rock, and hardwood.

Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for simulating the appearance of individually laid materials, such as bricks or cobblestones, in a curved pattern in a concrete surface. The apparatus includes a flexible spine with a plurality of ribs extending from a surface of the flexible spine. The apparatus further includes a texture mat for imprinting a pattern, for example a brick surface, a stone surface or a wood grain surface, into the concrete surface. This invention also relates to a method of using of the apparatus for simulating the appearance of individually laid materials in the concrete surface.

Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for forming a textured cantilevered concrete edge. The apparatus includes an inner wall form adjacent to a taller outer wall form resulting in a textured edge for receiving the concrete. A L-shape liner with a horizontal foot and a vertical riser is supported by the inner wall form and braced by the outer wall form. The liner includes a textured surface on the concrete-contacting face. Combinations of straight segments and curved segments frame a perimeter for the concrete pour. This invention also relates to the method of use of the apparatus for forming a textured cantilevered concrete edge.
