  • Patent number: 4650145
Abstract: A self-locking slider mechanism for holding telescoping relatively-movable inner and outer tubular members in adjusted lengthwise position and which requires a greater force manually applied lengthwise of the members to decrease the over-all length of the members than to increase the over-all length thereof. The members can be used as a stand to provide a load-carrying capacity for the stand while still enabling adjustment of stand height with minimal effort. The slider mechanism has a body member attached to one tubular member and having an internal recess extending lengthwise thereof and opening to one side of the body with an inclined ramp plate mounted within the recess and associated with a ramp member movable therealong and which has a friction member engageable with the other tubular member.

  • Patent number: 4362328
Abstract: A patio door lock having a linkage for reciprocating movable bolts in the top and bottom of the door into and out of locked positions. A six bar linkage is provided to reciprocate bolt rods connected to the bolts by axially directed forces. A tension spring biases the bolt rods together, and stops are provided to limit an over-center motion of the linkage as assisted by the tension spring, one stop holding the linkage and bolt bars in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 4194266
Abstract: An adjustable roller mechanism for a sliding closure having a case attachable to the sliding closure and a roller-mounting bracket mountable thereon for adjustable movement to varying positions extending from the case. A smooth surfaced cam is rotatably mounted to control the adjusted position of the roller bracket and a modified planocentric gear assembly operable by manually rotating a mounting shaft provides a gear reduction drive for rotation of the cam and for automatically locking the cam in any rotative position.
