Abstract: A plumb bob assembly including a plumb bob for use adjacent to a wall or other vertical surface, a cord, cord spool attachable to the plumb bob for storage and a tip cover. A pencil may be inserted through a vertical slot in the plumb bob body to mark the position of the plumb bob relative to an adjacent wall. The plumb bob has a relatively flat, tear-drop shaped plastic body, to which two disk-shaped brass weights, a brass cord attachment ball and a conical brass tip are attached. A plastic spool has a cord receiving region defined by two walls and a plate that protrudes beyond one of the walls. Opposed hooks on the plate provide a means for tying-off the cord and hanging the plumb bob assembly from a nail during use. A collar on the plate locks the spool on the plumb bob during storage by inserting the plate into the slot in the plumb bob body.

Abstract: A mortising fixture that utilizes interchangeable templates to guide an electric router fitted with a template guide bushing. The templates are held in a fixture plate that is positioned on the box or lid surface to be mortised and which plate is clamped to the lid or box in a position that is determined by (1) a fixture fence that rests against the back edge of the lid or box and (2) a adjustable end stop that indexes against the lid or box sides. One box mortise and the opposite lid mortise are made with the end stop screw block in one position on the fixture plate, and the other two mortises are made after flipping the fixture block and adjusting screw to a corresponding position on the other side of the plate.

Abstract: An improved wood threader that utilizes an aluminum plate as a router mounting base to which a mounting block, that may conveniently be wood, is attached, and to which interchangeable, machined, high-performance plastic threader inserts are attached with an indexing means that assures that each insert will be accurately positioned relative to a router bit or cutter.

Abstract: A combination woodworking machine for attachment to an electric plunge router, which may be configured as a horizontal boring and slot mortising machine, an overarm router and a router table. An x-y-z table is mounted on a column supported by feet, and a plunge router with its base removed is mounted in various orientations on the column by sliding it onto steel dowels mounted on the column. An electronic speed control reduces the router speed for boring, and an electronic digital readout provides accurate measurement of horizontal movement of the table.
