    Abstract: There is provided a tunable high power magnetron. An annular anode circumscribes a cathode and contains a plurality of resonating cavities. The volume of the resonating cavities determines the output frequency of the RF energy emitted by the magnetron. The volume of the cavities is varied by changing the position of movable, electrically conductive back walls.
